We were on the bus heading home from camp, about one minute out from the school. We were watching a movie on my phone, but decided to pack it up so that we could be ready to leave. As I was putting my phone in my bag though, Shane said something that surprised me. Out of no where he just said, "I love you." I closed my bag, still not fully comprehending his words, but then they hit me. I froze. My hearted swelled up, and feelings of ecstasy flooded my body, but I couldn't talk. Couldn't get a word out. My jaw dropped to the floor as I turned to face him. "I-I-I-I love you too." I stuttered out as I wrapped him in a hug. We had been dating for seven months, and neither of us had said it, or if we did, we didn't really mean it. Realizing I was strangling him in the hug, I quickly pulled away. The words still fresh in the air, I felt tats well up in my eyes. My hands covered my mouth as Shane just looked at me smiling, and laughing at my pure shock and joy. I pulled him into another hug, and in that moment all of my doubts washed away. I was reminded of the reason I was dating him. The reason I loved him.
