Two-bit also known as Keith was Darryl Curtis's friend. He kept an eye on Pony when his brothers couldn't. Two-bit was a good buddy. He was hilarious and he was happy being the jokester. He always knew how to lighten the mood. He even made a funny joke when he found out about Pony being mute.
At school Pony kept to himself. Two-bit always said it was 'he's not much of a talker' that's why. It was a good joke, but it got a little boring when he kept saying it. Pony was about to shut his locker and head to class when a soc named Bob Sheldon tripped him. Soda and Darry both hated him.
He said something cocky and laughed. Pony scrambled to pick up his books when a random boy he never saw before helped him. He had tan skin and bright beautiful brown eyes. It made Pony's heart pick up speed. The boy paused when he picked up the last book. He didn't speak just pointed at the mask. He asked if he was sick and Pony shook his head.
The boy offered to walk him to class explaining he was new. Pony got lost in the others voice and eyes. He wasn't really paying attention, when he walked into the door. The other boy just chuckled. Pony was glad his mask covered his blush. The boy then said his farewells and went down the hall. Pony mentally cursed himself, he forgot to ask the cute boy's name. The only thing he hoped for was that he would see this boy again.
