A whole year had passed. Yoriichi was coming towards the end with his training. His sister Nezuko wasn't far behind as she made fast progress unlike her brother. She knew all her mistakes early on as Yoriichi took multiple hits from Urokodaki. The reason he could not master the water breathing technique because he was a sun breather how ever, only Nezuko knew a little bit about it when her father told her. He told her story of a man who saved the Kamado family a few centuries ago.

Flashback...

"Dad? Why do big brother Yoriichi and Michikatsu have those weird markings on their face?" The young Nezuko asked. Tanjuro with his calm self rubbed his daughter's head. He was bed ridden from his unknown disease but kept the most calm attitude ever.

"I may be wrong about what I'm going to say but this is my best answer." The young girl's father spoke. "There was man from the Sengoku Era who saved our family from a demon attack. I do not remember his name but he had a permanent mark on his forehead. He was a very powerful man. I believe the children I have adopted was somewhat a reincarnation of him. Your brothers may be symbolizing as two things this world needs. However, don't believe me Nezuko. This is only a theory I came up with."

Yoriichi and Mr. Urokodaki leave the home. He had finished everything he could teach Yoriichi. Now it was time to see if the boy ws truly ready for Final Selection. It was something he really did not want his students to go through but since Nezuko split her boulder, it was definitely possible for the crimson hair boy to do it.

"Yoriichi, I have taught you everything I can." He said as him and Yoriichi walk into a clearing. It had two giant boulders placed there. One was already split but the other one was not. "If you can split this boulder in half. I will allow you to enter the final selection." Yoriichi nodded as he went up to the boulder. The old man disappeared into the woods. The crimson hair boy took a hard swing but failed. He tried over and over and over but still failed to cut it. 'All this way just for this boulder to stop me.' He thought. His hands had blisters on them. He looked at the boulder. 'There's gotta be a way to split this rock in half. I know there is.' The boy tried over again until he later passed out from having no energy.

"I must be doing something wrong." Yoriichi thought. He stood there for a moment thinking. "I must not be focusing my power into the swing properly. I must be careful however. I don't want to break the sword."

The Next Morning...

Yoriichi was back at the boulder location. He had a clear mind trying it again for the day. He tried spliting it... repeated failing, no matter how hard he was trying. Not a single chip in it. It was like it was unbreakable. The boy slumped down to the ground.

"I know I've failed brother... I cant split this boulder." He sulked. Yoriichi closed his eye from fatigue. He opened his to see a figure standing a few meters away from him. He resembled his brother. It was Michikatsu but his eye were normal. He had no demon presence within him.

"Brother..." The crimson hair boy spoke.

"Don't brother me dammit. The brother I had wasn't a person to give up!" Michikatsu shouted in anger. Yoriichi flinched at the sheer sound of his anger. 'Brother is angry... but why?...' The crimson hair boy thought. "No matter how much fear he had for a demon! He never back down from fighting it!" The elder brother walked towards Yoriichi and lifted him by his shirt.
