"Ok, come on, lets try and be quick, we don't want to run into...anyone." Reia said, looking down the hallway.

She turned around to look at Kyoufu, who wasn't paying attention to her words, staring outside instead. "Hey, Kyoufu. Come on. We don't have much time!" She walked back over to him and was about to grab his arm and pull him in the right direction, but she remembered what happened with Yasu, she froze after Reia had touched her.

Reia pulled her hand back, and nudged Kyoufu instead. "Sorry, sorry. I'm coming." He mumbled.

As they walked towards the medical room, the smell of smoke slowly became stronger, they were going closer to the dorms after all. "You think we'll run into Hijiri...?" Kyoufu quietly asked. "No, he didn't go this way, plus the medical room is right here." Reia said, pointing to a large closed door. Then a thought struck her, what if the door was locked?

To her relief, the door was unlocked and they entered without problem. "Ok...lets see..." Reia muttered to herself. "I remember Mr. Ebina looked through a bunch of different cabinets before taking the right medicine, so..." She trailed off.

Reia opened a few drawers, and she gasped. "What is it?" Kyoufu asked, walking over. "Everything is gone..." She mumbled. Reia opened the rest of the cabinets and drawers, they were all empty. Every. Single. Shelf.

Kyoufu walked away and leaned on a wall, hiding his face from view. "Kyoufu...I'm sorry...I thought stuff would be-" "It's fine. It was Mr. Ebina. This was his doing. Plus, I'm used to it. A few more scars won't matter." He said. Reia looked at him with sadness in her eyes. "Well...-" "We shouldn't stay here either, if Mr. Ebina has been here, what's stopping him from going in here again?" Kyoufu interrupted. Reia slowly nodded. "Ok, yeah." She hesitantly agreed. "Should we go to the fossil room? That's the next closest room...well...besides the kitchen...but that's not really a room..." Reia suggested. "Sure, that seems like a good place to stay for now." Kyoufu stopped leaning on the wall and went towards the exit of the room they were in.

"I don't see Kurobot in the halls anywhere." He said, after a while of him staring out of the room window. "Let's go now then." Reia said. "Alright." Kyoufu said, slowly opening the door.

They stepped out into the all too familiar hallway, the hallway that at first held great excitement. Now, the only emotions they felt were fear... The vacation they thought would be fun, had turned out to be the opposite of that. It didn't make any sense. Why was this happening? How could this be happening? Has these tortures been going on for ten years? If that's true, then...these halls have seen more horrors than Reia or Kyoufu ever will. Where are the people now, though? Could they still be here? Reia still couldn't make sense of any of this.

"Reia...Run!" Kyoufu warned. Reia felt herself being pulled and she realized Kurobot was right in front of them. "Shoot..." Kyoufu mumbled, running past Kurbot. "Why are we running? We got away from the thing!" Reia exclaimed. "Well, not really. Kurobot can probably alert Mr. Ebina, so now he knows where we are." Kyoufu exclaimed. "But, Mr. Ebina doesn't know where we are going, does he?" Reia asked. "If we get away from Kurobot fast enough, then he won't." He said. "Oh... You know, that makes sense!" Reia stated. "Glad you caught on so quickly..." Kyoufu said sarcastically.

They sprinted to the fossil room, and Kyoufu opened the door, checking for Kurobot, before he pulled Reia into the room and quickly shut down. "...Alright...We have to stay more alert when going into the hallways." Kyoufu noted. "Right...Yeah...Got it... You can let go of my arm now." Reia said, slightly laughing. "Oh..Um...Sorry..." Kyoufu quickly dropped her arm and turned away, looking around the room.

"Alright, look. I know it sounds weird, but I think we have some sort of powers." Reia suggested. "That would explain a lot, and in this case, It doesn't sound too weird." Kyoufu agreed. "Right, so I think my power is freezing people, or maybe turning people to ice?" Reia assumed. "I'm probably wrong...but I think my ability is this weird voice in my head." Kyoufu said. Reia's expression changed to curiosity. " A voice? What's it saying?" Kyoufu turned away. Don't say it. Don't think it. Don't do it... Kyoufu repeated in his head.  The voice saying 'The numbing', repeating in the background of his mind. "I can't say...I think my power is what turned Hijiri into what he is now." Kyoufu said, trying to focus on just a wall. It was so hard to not think of something, when it's what he was talking about. "That's creepy! It's kind of like mind control?" Reia questioned. "Kind of... except I can't really control it." Kyoufu sighed. He had a sudden realization that this whole thing was his fault. His stupid brain caused this whole mess.

"So then, Hijiri's power is probably fire." Reia said. Kyoufu expression darkened. "Fire...that's just great." He murmured. "Oh. Yeah..." Reia trailed off, remembering Kyoufu's past experience with fire, how his parents died... Reia couldn't imagine life without her mom or dad. "Well, we'll be fine in here!" Reia said, trying to change the subject. "For now." Kyoufu reminded her.

"How long do you think we'll be in here for?" Reia asked after a while of silence. "I have no clue." Kyoufu stated. "Hm..." Reia sighed, however she perked up a second later. "Look at that, over there!" She pointed to the other side of the room. On the wall there was a faint outline in a rectangular shape, as big as a door.

Reia walked over to the outline, and she realized the tiles on the wall were pushed out slightly inside where the outline was. "I think it's a door." Reia said. "Really?" Kyoufu looked over and walked towards her. "Try pressing a tile." He suggested. "Ok!" Reia said, pressing a tile. After Reia did this, the wall slid to the side to reveal a secret pathway, only lit with a few green lights. The walls were black, so they couldn't see too far ahead.

"Whoa, you found a whole secret room with just your eyes, I had to knock my head into a wall to find a hidden room." Kyoufu said

, peering into the dark hallway. "Should we see what's in the room?" Reia asked. "Sure, hopefully we won't get locked in this room." he answered.

The two reluctantly stepped into the dark area, the green lights didn't help very much. "Why does every place need to be so dark..." Reia complained. "Mr. Ebina has lots of secrets...secrets he probably wants to stay hidden." Kyoufu stated.

"Hey, look over there." Reia said, running towards a glowing white light. "Hey, we need to stick together!" Kyoufu called, trying to catch up with her. "Whoa, look." Reia was looking at the glowing white light, which was a tv. There were four words on the tv screen in big bold letters. 'The Rebirth Of Dinosaurs'.  "Just what is this place..." Kyoufu muttered.

(Guess what guys?! Toxic Human Test Subjects has officially surpassed The Silent Promise in story parts! It's been really fun writing this series so far, sorry that this one was a bit shorter than usual. These next few chapters are so spread apart and It's getting harder to write longer chapters T-T. I'm trying my best though! Anywho, this wraps up chapter 6 (whew, finally) and now it's onto the next chapter of me suffering while trying to write well! (heh, just kidding) Like I said, I really enjoy writing this book! I do have to say, it's harder to write cute scenes with characters, like that one Reia and Kyoufu scene....(well there's been multiple) I need to get better at that, because I live for those moments! Alright, I'm done rambling. Hope you enjoyed Chapter 6! I'll see you next week with part 1 of chapter 7!)
