Chapter One; I'm sorry.

August 29, 2015.
9:10 PM.

"Leah?" I called out my best friends name, continuing to look at myself in the mirror. My long, usually untamed curls were curled into perfect ones, my makeup on point.

"Hmm?" She popped her head in my room, putting an earring in her ear.

"How do I look?" I opened my arms, spinning around in a circle once.

"You look great, Carter." She smiled at me. I tried to smile back, but I honestly just feel like I look terrible. "I know what you're thinking, babe, and you seriously look beautiful."

"Ok." I nodded my head, smiling at her.

"You ready?" She asked me, her keys dangling in her hand.

"Uh," I looked at myself one more time, slowly nodding my head, "yeah, let's go."

We were silent until we got into her car.

"You know I'm super proud of you, right?" She asked, breaking the comfortable silence between us.

I nodded my head, "Y-yeah, I know you are." I smiled, looking down at my lap.

"I know how hard this was for you and I'm happy that you're better now."

"Me too." I admitted honestly, looking up at her. Her eyes were watery, but she was smiling. "Thank you for always being there for me. I know how hard it has been to stick through this with me, but I'm glad you have."

"You're my best friend Carter, I would do anything for you."

"I appreciate it." I smiled, "Love you bunches."

"Love you too, now let's celebrate." She laughed, turning up the music in her car. Considering the bass sounded fantastic, we jammed the rest of the way to the club.

When we pulled up, the music was vibrating the entire building. I'm glad I brought painkillers.

"ID's please." The bouncer said, holding out his hand for our ID's. I grabbed mine out of my clutch, handing it to him.

"Alright, have a nice night ladies." He grinned, handing our ID's back.

"This reminds me of the time we used fake ID's to get in here." Leah giggled, grabbing my arm as we walked in the club.

"I was scared shitless!" I exclaimed, also giggling.

"Ooh," she grinned, letting go of my arm, "I see a man just calling my name."

"Oh, um-" she walked away before I even got my sentence out, leaving me by myself.

I sighed, heading towards the bar.

"Hi, what can I get for ya?" The bartender asked, raising his eyebrows at me.

"Surprise me- no beer." He nodded once, leaving me by myself once again.

"Let me guess," I heard a deep voice beside me, "you came here with your friend but she ditched you?"

I looked over at the source of the voice, nearly fainting at the sight.

"You-you-" I swallowed hard, "you're Justin Bieber."

He chuckled, sticking out his hand, "And you are?"

"I'm Carter Bianchi." I smiled, shaking his hand.

"So, was I right?" He asked, sipping from his beer. The bartender slid my glass to me and I could already sense that it was fruity.

"Yup," I nodded, sipping from my drink now.

"Mind if I keep you company for the night?"

"Sure." I smiled, taking another drink.

"How old are you?"

"I just turned 21 at the beginning of this month."

He nodded, grinning, "You here for a specific reason or just to party?"

I finished the rest of my drink before looking down at my lap. I barely know him, I don't want to scare him away.

"I, uh, just to have a good time I guess." I continued staring at my lap, not wanting to look into his eyes. I'm a terrible liar.

"Here you go." The bartender gave me another drink.

As I sat and continued talking to Justin, I finished a drink and then another, starting to feel quite tipsy. Knowing that Justin had been drinking far longer than I have, I knew he was already drunk.

"D-do you wanna dance?" He asked, grinning at me. I nodded happily, grabbing the hand that he offered. We made our way into the crowd of people. "You're really beautiful, you know." He said, his brown eyes mesmerizing me.

"Thank you." I said quietly, my cheeks turning a bright red. I always blush when I get complimented, no matter who's complimenting me.

We danced for a while, giggles often escaping my mouth. His sense of humor was so light hearted and it really made me happy. Like, purely, genuinely happy. Something I haven't felt in a long time.

"You are so beautiful." He said again, making me giggle.

"I think you're super drunk."

"That may be true," he smiled at me, "but you're still very beautiful."

"Thank you." I looked down at my feet.

"Why do you always do that?" He asked quietly, using his index finger to lift my chin back up. I shrugged, still trying to ignore his eyes. "Look at me." I lifted my eyes, looking into his caramel brown ones. Without another spoken word, we both slowly leaned in. His lips connected to mine, making my entire body fill with electricity.

"Do you want to go to my hotel room?" He asked, pushing a hair off my face.

"Do I really have a choice?" I asked, giggling.

"Nope." He chuckled, grabbing my hand and leading me to the limo that was waiting for him. "Step on it." He told the driver. He faced me again and connected our lips.

The ride to his hotel was quick and filled with kisses. Lots of kisses.

Once we got to his room we were both immediately stripped of our clothes.

"Are you sure you're okay with this?" He asked, looking in my eyes. He does that a lot and it never fails to make me blush.

I nodded, "Y-yeah, I'm sure."

"Okay." He smiled, kissing my lips softly.

9:36 AM.

My brown eyes slowly fluttered open, the happy feeling in my heart still very noticeable.

Last night after Justin and I had sex, we sobered up some and we had talked for hours. I think we fell asleep around 3.

I stretched out, a funny noise escaping my lips followed by a giggle. I flipped around, expecting to see Justin lying beside me. My heart broke when all I saw was a note.

'I'm sorry.'

Tears started to fall down my face seeing that the room was empty. This wasn't a joke.

He used me. He used me and left me.
