ABIGAIL
Virgil van Dijk pushed the door of the flower shop open, letting the cold air hit his face.He had only been in the flower shop a couple of times, usually buying gifts for his friends or his family when visiting.
And every time, he was met with the same sweet older lady, but this time he wasn't. He was met with a younger woman, around his own age.
He had learned previously that the older lady was Mary, the owner of Mary's Florals.
The lady seemed to noticed his confusion, "If you're looking for Mary, she's in the back. I'm her daughter, Abigail."
Once again, Virgil simply nodded, but nothing came out of his mouth.
Abigail continued talking, "Is there anything I can get you?"
"A bouquet of yellow tulips, please."
She nodded and stepped towards the container with different colored tulips, picking out an assortment of yellow-colored ones like the guy had asked for.
Virgil studied the girl as she placed the flowers on paper, noticing her dark caramel-colored hair and her dark brown eyes.
She had a very welcoming and loving aura, like someone you knew you could be comfortable around.
Soon enough, Abigail's gaze met his, as she handed him the freshly made bouquet.
He smiled and took the flowers into his hand, giving the girl a twenty pound bill in return.
"It was a pleasure meeting you, Abigail."
He gave her a quick smile, which she gladly returned before exiting the store.
Abigail watched him as he made his way into his car, something about the man intrigued her, but she was unsure what it was.
