[Deimos]
"Give it here." Sanford motioned with his hand to give him the cigarette.
"Hell no! You said I could have one once every three days. It's been four Sanford, my cravings are killing me here!" He flicked the lighter some more, increasingly frustrated by its determination to not work. Upon shaking it, he realise it had no more juice. Cursing, he threw it to the ground.
Sanford put his hands up defensively, "Fine, fine. Have your cigarette. Stink up the tent."
"...You don't happen to have a lighter, do you?" Deimos looked at the ground, trying to keep the grump out of his tone. It didn't matter though, Sanford could probably tell either way.
"Not here. But I'm pretty sure you could find one lying around the radio tower." Deimos nodded, before starting to exit the tent.
"Goodbye, Deimos." Sanford was looking at him expectantly with a raised brow.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Love you too, San." He rolled his eyes, but try as he might couldn't stop himself from grinning. Leaving the tent, he wondered for the tenth time what Sanford was to him. He wasn't actively pining after him, at least, not that he knew of. But if Sanford asked him out nicely enough, he wouldn't exactly say no, either. He shrugged. Maybe Nevada was getting to him.
Though, he had to admit, he was a little surprised. Never in a million years did he think Sanford would point him in the direction of a lighter, let alone allow him to smoke. In all honestly, it was nice not worrying about sneaking around so much. About halfway to his stop he felt a hand on his shoulder. He jumped, before turning around and narrowly missing 2B with a punch.
"I need you to come with me." 2B narrowed his eyes at Deimos before turning around.
"But I was alre-" 2B turned, giving him a chilling death stare, "Alright, alright. I'm coming."
Deimos sighed, rolled his eyes as they turned back around. He could've at least given him a warning before waltzing in and telling him he needed to be somewhere. He fidgeted with the cigarette pack in his pocket. While it stopped him from feeling so jittery, it only made his cravings worse. Whatever 2B needed him for, it better be quick.
They arrived at a small, less-crowded section of the clearing littered with tatamis, with the occasional sparring going on around them. Up ahead, he saw Sheriff sitting down on a mat, fidgeting with his hands as he looked at the floor. It was about time 2B taught him something, but terrible timing to bring him into this.
As they got closer, Sheriff looked up, before quickly getting to his feet, grinning as he waved at Deimos. "Hey, I suppose you're the one giving me an ass-kicking today?"
Deimos chuckled, "Yeah, But I doubt g-"
"Nobody is going to be doing any 'ass-kicking' today." 2B interrupted, crossing his arms. "This is just Training. Deimos, I expect you to go easy on him."
He narrowed his eyes at Deimos, who put his arms up defensively. "I know, I know! I'm not gonna rough him up in his first real fight."
"Hey, who says I haven't been in any real fights before?" Sheriff crossed his arms, giving Deimos a side eye, which in all honesty looked funnier than it did intimidating.
"We both know damn well you struggle to even mock fight with me and Sanford." Deimos pointed out, to which he could see Sheriff's face drop a little at that response.
"Okay, that's enough you two. Focus on the directive." 2B said coolly. Deimos frowned, going to his side of the tatami. Things might've been fun once in a while if the buzzkill didn't chime in so much.
