*Cover's Natsu's Ears*
Many have wondered what Zeref was thinking during when Acnologia was destroying Tenrou Island and witnessing his little brother's "death" again. Well, he was realizing that mankind will, once again, be embarking on a long, arduous journey, and bids Natsu farewell. As the airship continues to fly onward, Zeref witnesses Acnologia destroying Tenrou Island and shuts his eyes, stating, tearfully, that Natsu's journey has ended.
