"Flowers. Check. Donuts in a box with a message. Check." Javon states, listing everything off he needs to ask you, his crush, to prom. He takes a deep breath. "Ok, I'm ready."
Javon tells his twin brother to hold the box of donuts, while Jayla goes to retrieve you from math class.
Jayla had just started tugging you to the entrance hallway. You start asking her questions. "Jayla, where are you taking me? Never mind that, what are you doing here? You don't even go to this school anymore."
"Just trust me." Jayla leads you and you see Javon holding flowers, with Jaden holding a box a donuts. Your expression softens, reading the note on the box.
'Roses are red. Donuts are bomb. Do me a favor and come with me to prom?'
Jayla takes your books and backpack, letting you walk towards her brother. You cover your mouth with both hands, a laugh escaping your lips.
Javon looks at you with a certain emotion in his eyes. "So, what do you say?"
You look at him and grin. "Yes, I'll go to prom with you!"
He cheers and scoops you up in his arms. Spinning you around. Javon puts you down, pulling you into a kiss. Shocked gasps are heard. Your shocked, but you then you smile into the kiss.
"These are good."
They turn to see Jaden munching on a donut. He looks up and sees the stares. "What?"
Everyone burst into laughter. Jaden shrugs and keeps eating the donut in his hand.
