Not only did I find out my dad didn't even ask for me back, I also found out that im going to be the goverments test dummy, and im going to be stuck in a prison-like building for who knows how long. Life is just great, like it always is. First an orphanage where they pledge complete and total honesty and then having to watch the love of my life get tackled as the same people who promised to be honest to us take us in a mini van hallway across the world to torture us for "scientific purposes" and the "betterment of humanity." Screw the betterment of humanity, at this point I don't believe that humans can be better, because they're freaking horrible and selfish. And then, as if to kick me while im already down, they separated me and Layla and put us in opposite rooms where we cant see each other. When we first got here, and they forced us out of the van, and we entered the inside of this prison, I studied the layout of the building. Pretty much everything inside was metal, and the layout, as I have explained before is quite literally a prison. The building is split into 2 halves, one is the side that men use and the other is for women. I already tried to scope out a place where the sides connect, or tried to see if there was a flaw in the system so I might be able to run to the other side but from the look of it there's only one, and even with that gateway it's impossible to get to the other side, they built this ironically hideous place perfectly. On the first floor, there's the dining hall, that all of us men go to when they call us for dinner. There's also a room that is labeled in a language I cant understand, and the place where the men's section intersects with the women's is the biggest room in the whole building, also labeled with a huge sign, but with a word I still cant understand. After making a mental note of the building, I was taken upstairs by the same woman volunteer that drove me. She led me into a room that had 2 single beds in it, a sink, and a toilet. The room was all grey, and too small to have anything like a shower or a tub in it. "Aren't you happy to live here Atlas?", the volunteer smirks as moves her red hair out of her face, showcasing her psychotic smile. "Are you insane?", I yell. "How can ANY of this make me happy?? You took me away from literally everything I know, and without my consent too. I don't WANT to be here," I throw back at her. Her smile turns to a frown, and she looks upset, like she really thought she was doing a favor by bringing me here against my will. "I thought you would be happy darling, I brought you to a place where you don't have to share a room with a thousand kids anymore. And this, look at all this,", she flails her arms around as if shes trying to direct my eyes to a paradise im somehow ungreatful for. She sees my unintrest, clenches up her teeth and says, "I saved you. Don't you ever forget that Atlas Montana." "Anyways," she continues in an innocent, normal sounding voice. "Your new roommate is about to come up, I think you're gonna love him," she giggles. "His name is Miles by the way, I think you're gonna want to remember that. Because once you know his name, youll never forget it."
