"GUESS WHO'S BACK."
The words fell flatly from the boys lips, a light twinkle in his eyes as he stared at his raven haired girlfriend that sat beside him on the bench of a table. They had been in the courtyard, as they were on their lunch break. The afternoon sun swelled like a golden dome against the blue sky. A soft breeze wove through the air, pushing the strands of hair off of Ambers shoulders as a huff fell from her pink, plump lips at her boyfriends words.
She felt her abdomen twist with an indescribable feeling as her brown eyes fell to a familiar brown haired girl, her school bag slung over her shoulder as she walked side by side with a young girl named Bonnie Bennett. The two had been best friends since forever, along with the tall blonde named Caroline Forbes that Amber found rather irritating.
"She's coming? Watch everything get worse."
Monty turned to look at his girlfriend, an amused smirk staining his lips as he lifted his hand to toy with the hem of her shirt.
Sure, Amber and Elena were close, but they also had a falling out a while back, and Amber just couldn't seem to get over it. After an unfortunate incident caused the death of both of Elena's parents, she had shut down. Though, that was understandable. Yes, she felt for the Gilbert girl, but it'd been months since her parents died. Since then, she's been off and on with the rest of the friend group. Amber was just about tired of it.
"Yo, with everything going on right now, maybe it's time we mend old friendships." Cameron Parker offered a small smile and a shrug of his shoulders. The others knew exactly what he was talking about. The recent murders had been the hot topic lately. Just a few days ago, Julia Monroe and her boyfriend, Scott Walker, had been brutally butchered.
