It was Friday and Nina's classes were going to start in a few days, she only had that weekend free and still had a lot to organize in her new apartment. It was in a good neighborhood and near her school, taking her around 20 minutes to get there, and she was sharing it with a British girl who was majoring in Business, so it was not that expensive. All rooms already had furniture when Nina got there in the beginning of the week, so she only had to fill her bedroom with her personal items, which was also a lot to do.

"Are you even listening to what I'm saying?" Karol said hysterically, almost screaming, through the phone.

Nina was just on autopilot, hearing her friend while organizing her stuff, not really paying that much attention. "I'm sorry, what were you talking about?" Karol sighed and Nina could imagine her rolling her eyes. Another box was opened, there were her studying materials.

"I was asking you if you had already called Lucas." She repeated, annoyed, making now Nina annoyed as she was getting everything out of the box. There's so much to be done and she keeps bringing this up.

Nina started to separate what was going to her shelf and what was staying on her desk. She had decided that she would not give anyone the chance to enter her heart that semester. The Brazilian-Japanese girl would rather be heartless in a romantic way, than to let herself catch feelings and break her heart. She looked at the box again and there were still many books to be kept, making her sigh exhausted.

After a few minutes in silence due to what she was doing, Nina finally answered her friend, because she knew that the fact she was not saying anything was torturing Karol. "I thought we had already discussed it. No, I haven't called him and I'm not planning on doing it." She answered quickly. "Did you call that Argentine boy when you went to Buenos Aires?" Nina managed to get Karol in the spotlight. Another chance to continue her organization.

"That's not what is in question." She replied angrily. "Our situation was different than yours." Nina stopped and sighed after putting the last book on the shelf. She knew she could not escape that subject while talking to Karol.

"Ok, it was different, in the past, but now I'm planning to keep it the same as you." Nina concluded, finally laying on her bed to rest. It was a clear message that she did not want to talk about it again in a near future. "Anyways, what have you been doing? When are you going back to work?"

"On monday, this is my last weekend as a visitor in the hotel. Next week I'll be working in the entertainment area." Karol cried, making Nina laugh.

"Don't forget you chose this career."

"Yes, but work is work. Even if it's family business..." She explained and Nina agreed. "But how about you? Your classes start on Monday as well, don't they? And your roomate?" Karol started to interrogate her.

"Yeah, this is my last free weekend as well. But I haven't seen my roommate yet, she texted me this week, explaining that she'll probably get here on the weekend, so I'm just by myself in this apartament, for now."
