The tailor had left the room right after she finished taking my measurements, I then pulled my clothes back on before walking over to the door and peering out into the empty hallway.

At this sight announce instantly filled me

Where did that woman go?

I’m positive that I told her to wait outside for me, didn’t I? Well I’m at least positive that I most certainly did not tell her she could go off wherever she pleased.

Frustrated, I walked into the hall and then down the stairs to look for her. When I didn’t find her within the first five minuets I started to get not only frustrated but also a little angry with her. After a little while longer I found a maid in one of the hallways

“Where is Annabelle?” I snapped at her.

The girl jumped at the sound of my voice then she looked back at me with slightly frightened eyes

“I’m sorry my lady, who are you looking for?” she said in a shaky voice.

“Annabelle! Annabelle Evens. Tell me where she is.” I demanded

“Ma’am I apologize I do not know who that is.” The young girl looked almost terrified of me.

Well good, she should be.

“For the gods sake. Evens, the maid working under me with brown hair and large eyes” I was losing my patience with this woman.

“Oh! the new girl. I’m sorry. She is in the piano room with Melody.” She said quickly.

I didn’t even respond I just turned around and stated to make my way to the piano room…

When I opened the door I spotted Melody sitting at the grand piano attempting to play a song, it sounded sloppy and horribly out of tune but Annabelle was standing next to her and she was giggling and her large brown eyes where lit up with amusement.

Anger filed though my veins as if I had been poisoned with it, why was she looking at her like that? How could she look at her that way then she didn’t even seam the least bit interested in me? When I am much more beautiful, much more powerful then melody could ever be.

“What are you doing down here?” the moment my voice sounded though the room melody immediately stopped attempting to play the piano and both girls turned to look at me, though none of them answered my question.

“Why were you not waiting for me by the door?” I asked Annabelle.

“My lady you instructed me to leave the room, I was not aware you wanted me to wait for you in the hall” she explained.

“Well you where supposed to wait there.” I snapped at her, not even trying in the least bit to hide my frustration with them.

“Annabelle’s eyes went wide and she quickly started to walk over to me, probably thinking that I wanted her to come with me back up to my room.

“No. Stay here” I said coldly.

My words made Annabelle stop dead in her tracks.

“Melody, you come with me” I ordered.

Both girls exchanged a confused look before Melody stood up and walked over to me. For some reason that annoyed me even more.

“Stay here until I say otherwise” I said to a confused looking Annabelle as Melody and I walked out the room, shutting the door behind us.

We stood in the empty hallway and Melody stared at me and for some reason it almost looked as if she was resisting the urge to smile.

Another twinge of annoyance shot though me
