Toji looked in front of him but he couldn't see anything. He laughed knowing it's a curse. He couldn't see it
"What do you see?" he asked in a light tone trying to calm her down
"It's scary" I said while looking at the curse but immediately looked away in fear
"I don't want to be here" I said crying
"How big is the curse?" he then asked while he carried me with one arm. I wrapped my arms around his neck still trying not to look at the curse. He can sense that there was a curse in front of him, a strong one. He wasn't sure if he could kill it
He wanted to bolt outside the room but he could sense that the curse already blocked the doorway and the two of them are trapped inside
Why is there a curse here and no one noticed it ? He thought
"Now sweetie do you want to be my eyes?" he cooed trying his best to make the girl feel safe
"No! I'm scared" I said quivering in fear
"Everybody gets scared but we need a little courage to survive come on little kid cooperate" he said with a smile but I could feel that it's forced
I looked at the curse. It had only one eye the way it's eyes connected with mine made a shiver down to my spine
There was a smile appearing at the curse creepily. My lips started to tremble at the sight as my breath hitched in fear. Toji noticed how pale her face turned
"Damn it" he then covered her eyes
I could feel the curse approach me. I screamed at the top of my lungs. Toji immediately turned his back protecting the girl . But he felt scratched behind his back
For a moment he now noticed that he couldn't sense a curse inside the room. The door opened seeing maids enter and was surprised to see him there
"There was a curse in the room why hasn't no one noticed!" he yelled at those maids
"There are curses who roam around here but none of them has the potential to harm the young miss" one of them spoke
"There was one" he bitterly said
"How can you be sure you can't see curses in the first place" the woman was greeted a firm slap on her face by no other than Toji
"What is going on here" he turned his head to see his father
"There was a curse" he tried to explain but he felt pain in his abdomen and that is how he noticed his father punched him but he still held his sister tightly so she wouldn't fall
"Let go of my daughter" the older man spoke.
"She's my sister" Toji said noticed that his sister lost consciousness
"When did you ever care? All you care about is disgrace our family with your presence" he asked looking at his so called son
"When all of you treated her like a shadow you low life!" he hissed at them venom in his voice filled with hatred among everyone
The father gave him a stern look.
"How dare you talk to me like that you need discipline" he said as he called guards to capture toji
"Bring him to the disciplinary room" he ordered he look at his daughter who was on the floor he immediately picked it up noticing the girl had a fever
"Honey you should have gone easy on Toji" he saw his wife spoke but he ignored her plea
"How dare he disrespect me"
That night went horrible as he was trapped in a cell filled with curses. The next day he got a scar in the side of his cheek
"Well that looks bad that brat would surely run away if she sees this" Toji spoke to himself looking at the scar in the mirror

I woke up from my fever when I rushed through the corridors and to his room. When I opened the door I saw him wounded on his face
"Big brother" I cried as I fell down on the floor. Toji stared at the girl and didn't know what to do. He held the back of her shirt while she dangled there

I blinked a few times and continued to cry and tried reach over him
"Big brother I'm sorry" I said he sighed then properly carried her in his arms
"You are such a cry baby" he said while patting my back
"Big brother don't leave me"
In the distance a man stared at the two siblings
Later that night toji thought the kid entered his room but he heard a deep voice
"Leave Zenin clan" His father spoke
"As if I'll do that" he scoffed as he turned his back on him
"You are forbidden to see her ever again. You are a devil and she is an angel" he spoke then left
A little moment he hears footsteps not on the corridors but near his window. He then saw a doll flying inside his room he stood and saw her with a big smile
"You little shit" Toji chuckled as he carried her inside
"Big brother they locked me inside my room" I said while toji took out the leaves that are stuck at her hair
"How did you get out?"
"I DUG A HOLE" I said with a proud smile
Toji stared at the smiling girl. Why isn't she scared? He looked at her with a small smile. He wanted to protect her but deep inside he doesn't want to corrupt her pure soul
"Big Brother!"
'I don't deserve her' he thought knowing damn well how much of a shitty person he is but despite that. The child in front of him still smiles genuinely at him
He chuckles knowing how selfish he was. He has the personality of a devil. He couldn't be with a small angel. He didn't want to cut her wings
"Emiko" he called the girl looked at him with curiosity
"Please from now on will you be a good girl while I'm gone" he spoke with a small smile hiding sadness deep inside
"Are you going to leave?" I asked intently looking at his teal eyes
"No" he lied all he does is lie to me
"Promise me you won't leave" I said while reaching out my pinky for any hope but nothing can stop him from leaving
"I promise"
