The meeting was done we had a lot of men to separate us but none of them successful with the decision

Until my mother appeared

"Emiko! Don't disgrace yourself in front of the family! Know your place!" she yelled I looked at her and back to naoya who was still kneeling

"Then! I'll leave this family! I'll get married if it's the sacrifice I would take to not be part of this!" I yelled

All of their eyes widened seeing her statement. A girl who vowed to never marry a man in the family

All of them knew if she left the family. The wealth won't be stable since most of her money is being used by the whole clan. Her stability makes zenin clan wealthy they can't afford losing her

"FINE! you will be the head! In one condition!" suddenly the head of the family yelled all eyes were on him

"Father what are talking about! Are you really going to replace me with this bitch!! I'm a man I will carry the name!" Naoya yelled

"hush or off with your head" I hissed

"I'll let you be the head if you convince someone to be your husband and they willingly change his surname to Zenin" he said

"No man would do that! That's impossible!" I yelled knowing most men want their wives to have their surnames not the other way around. It would hurt their pride

"That's my challenge for you do that if you wish to be the next head of the family!"

"You are willing to accept an outsider?" I asked

"That's what you want!" I looked at my mother hew eyes displaying disappointment

My mother is the type of person to not want to draw attention from others. Me being the head is something she would hate

"Do you not want that? I'm doing this for you mother?" I said

"No!! You are just like your brother! If only! You hadn't stole his curse energy he wouldn't have been disgraced!" she yelled

"Why are you blaming me" I asked

"Because of you my son left me and he will never come back"

Those words pierced my heart

"If you cared for him! You are supposed to be with him! I was there! I was there for him than any of you!" I yelled

"But he left you because you are overshadowing him!" Naoya spoke

I couldn't utter a word but tighten the grip in his hold which made him wince in pain

"enough!" The head intervene

"Let's settle this as civilized adult we can't change the past. Toji has already left us in this world"

"Emiko will you be staying here?" he then asked politely with a visible annoyed smile. I though about but knowing I can't go back to Nanami's apartment

"Yeah" I said then left

The people who were in the same room felt tension leave. None of them thought they would feel this overwhelming power. As if they were bugs being crushed scared at the being in front of them. Her presence was almost frightening

Eventhough she's second to Gojo her presence makes everyone in the room weak

"It's the curse energy. She emits too much" naoya clicked his tongue

"She has gotten stronger over the years"

"Why are you letting her trample over you!!"

"We can no longer control her it's best for us obtain her and remain part of this family. Plus I won't die yet I won't allow it" the head smirked

"You have a plan"

"I do"

I stared at the room that was given to me. It wasn't a normal guest room. It was very decent I was bored so I decided to check my phone and see dozens of flooded messages

'Please come home'

That word sunk in me

"I don't want to" I tried to type but suddenly my finger couldn't send so instead I typed why

'let's talk'

Why are you so straightforward. It's so attractive of him. I immediately teleported at his apartment

My eyes met him

"Miko"

"Kento"

I was suddenly engulfed in an embrace. I couldn't help but blush feeling his arms wrapped around my body

I wasn't a pervert I swear but Nanami in front of me you can't help and admire

"I apologize for what I did earlier I didn't mean to raise my temper it's because I also want to be independent. I also want to take care of you"

I simply stared at him I smiled

"I just want to also provide for you a person that you can rely on. You are an amazing woman and can also do that but is it bad for me to want to at least spoil and take care of you" he gave me a kiss on my forehead

"You sound like you vow to be my slave" I joked as I lowly chuckled stared at the clock ticking to distract my mind

"I vow to be someone you could rely on. I'll do anything for you miko you know that" he said I look at him but he seems serious. My eyes were shocked at the sight of him

"What?"

"I want to be a use to you. I want to be useful for you" he said as if he was begging

I held his chin my fingertips brushed on his sharp jawline as our eyes connected

"You don't mind being a tool?" I asked softly as I felt my lips twitch in amusement

Nanami couldn't help but feel something burning in his chest. He couldn't deny her. She has got him wrapped along her fingers. He thought if this was her own way of expressing her love

He doesn't know how to respond. He simply intertwine his fingers with her. His breath hitched as he prepare the words that would leave his mouth

"I love you to the point I'll kill myself for you"
