I don't want to go to school anymore, I was really excited to start 5th grade but that all changed when my dad passed away over the summer. Sure he was never the best dad but at least he came through some of the time, now it's just me and mom. I thought the house couldn't get any more lonely than it already was but apparently I was wrong.
" Adrien! Time to get up you don't want to be late for your first day of school!" My Mom's voice interrupted my thoughts.
" Ok mom, I will be out in 10 minutes," I say. I really wish I had the time to fake sick or something, school is the last thing I need right now. I haven't talked to any of my friends since my dad died, and I am not in the mood for any type of interrigation as to why I did not talk to anyone over break. I got dressed in a casual but also slightly professional outfit for the first day.

Before I left my room, I scooped up my cat Plagg, and then we headed downstairs for breakfast. I live in a huge mansion, because before my dad died he was the very famous fashion designer Gabriel Agreste, when he died in his will he mentioned that he wanted me to take over the company when I turned 18, but until then my mom works non stop to keep up with everything. I walked into the kitchen and was automatically hit with a fresh and tasty waffely scent.
" Morning mom," I say, setting Plagg down and sitting at the table.
" Morning honey, are you ready for your first day of school?" My mom asked.
" Not really, I am just worried that I am going to get an earful from my friends for not talking to anyone for most of the summer, you know because of everything that happened with dad and al," I say looking down at the waffles's in front of me.
" Oh honey, I am sure they are going to understand don't you worry. Now hurry now because you don't want to be late, and hurry home after school, I have a surprise for you," She said as I walked out the door. I was greeted with a grunt from my body guard, who I call the Gorilla, as he opened the door to the car.
" Here we go," I mutter to myself, as I step out the car and put on my best modeling smile.
" Adrikins!" I hear from behind me as I make my way up the stairs. I turn around and there she is, the school drama queen Chloe. She is the daughter of the mayor of Paris and she thinks that automatically makes her the most important girl in school. But in reality nobody really likes her because she flashes her money around like it's nobody's business.
" Hey Chlo, how was your summer?" I ask trying to be as nice as I can, although I am not at all in the mood for this. This is the first time I actually notice her outfit, she is wearing a really expensive looking dress.
