(2) Settling In

It was a nice drive. You shared some of your favorite memories from while you were away at college with your Dad.

He of course missed you so much that he  was smiling the whole trip home and to be honest so were you.

If you weren't constantly laughing you were appreciating the view as you passed the beautiful Fall trees.

It was the most perfect time to come back.

Your Dad helps you with your bags as you guys shuffle inside. The bedroom they had set up for you was so cozy looking.

It would have been your old bedroom if they hadn't moved houses. It was sad to think they got rid of the house you grew up in, but you could always take the memories with you.

After setting down your belongings, you jump into the bed with your arms spread out. Like a dream you bounce on the cushioned surface.

Your Dad gives a small chuckle saying, "I'll let you relax for a little since you'll be here all break, and you must be tired from the flight. "

"Of Course, there is also Jet Lag," you say with a small smile.

"Right, I'll be downstairs if you need anything. " he says.

You jump up.

"Actually I do need something now.. "

He turns to you and give a questioning hum.

With a big smile you rush to him wrapping your arms around him tightly.

"A hug"

You both laugh as he hugs you back.

"Thank you for having me here I'm so glad to see you guys, well you since nobody else is back yet, " you say with a little laugh.

He replies happy of the thought, "I'm glad you were able to come out to see us, Im sure your Mom will be home soon. But Bodie, you may see tomorrow. His friends have kidnapped him for the night, " he chuckles lightly.

Time passes as you lay down and try to close your eyes for at least a little bit. But looking around the room has you excited to make the space your own for the time you will be staying there.

You love the thought of decorating new empty spaces.

Ideas fill your head as you jump up to pull out some things you packed hopeing to make it scream more you.

In the proccess of decorating with little accessories you decide to get the full unpacking process dealt with.

With only a few pieces of clothing to go you hear a knock at the door.

"Come in" you say with a slight raise in your voice.

You turn to see your Mom with a great big smile on her face, coming towards you to embrace you.

"Oh Mom, I've missed you! "

"We've missed you too," she says letting go.
