In another hotel, Mr Smythe lay asleep.

But he was dreaming of something real troubling.

In his dream, he was walking with a pretty lady in the woods, then heard gunshots.

He turned around and the lady was shot dead.

And then he felt a hard blow to his head and woke up with a shrill scream.

Robin overheard it and ran to see what the matter was.

"Mr Smythe, sir, what's wrong?" he said.

"Where's the sergeant?" Mr Smythe cried.

"Asleep. What happened? Bad dream?" said Robin.

Mr Smythe took a deep breath. "I suppose."

"What was it? Do you remember?" said Robin.

"N-not really."

"A nightmare you forgot. The best kind of nightmare" said Robin.

Mr Smythe laughed a little and dried his eyes. "I apologize for waking you, Boy Wonder."

"Not a problem. It actually gave me a chance to tell you the sergeant and I are taking you back to Wiggletown tomorrow. At least until we can set the record straight" said Robin.

"Set the record straight, Boy Wonder?" said Mr Smythe.

"Sarge has her heart set on helping you get your memory back. And arresting the shooter who murdered your fiancee" said Robin.

"Oh, she doesn't need to do that. I'd appreciate getting my memory back, but she shouldn't go so far as to avenge my fiancee. She's never met her" said Mr Smythe.

"It's part of the crimefighting business, mister. If the police hear of a crime, they find whoever started it and pounce. Just like Batman and I do" said Robin.

"But the sergeant is already on another murder case. I feel as though I'm interrupting it" said Mr Smythe.

"Sir, it's her job. And if I know her, she'll have both cases solved in no time" said Robin.

Mr Smythe sighed deeply. "Yes, Boy Wonder."

"Think you can get back to sleep? I know it's scary when you have no idea why you got arrested, but you're gonna be fine" said Robin.

Mr Smythe nodded and laid back down without saying anything.

Robin left, but the man was still awake.

He could only think about his nightmare. It reminded him of his only memory, his fiancee's murder.

He softly sang to himself about his condition.

One track mind like a goldfish

Stuck inside my Petri dish

I can't breathe and I can't smile

This better be worth my while

I feel numb most of the time

Lower I get the higher I'll climb

And I will wonder why

I got dark only to shine

Looking for the golden light

Oh, it's a reasonable sacrifice

Burn burn burn bright

Forgone family, forgone friends

It's how it started how it ends

I can't open up and cry

Cause I've been silent all my life

I feel numb most of the time

Lower I get the higher I'll climb

And I will wonder why

I got dark only to shine

Looking for the golden light

Oh, it's a reasonable sacrifice

Burn burn burn bright

Burn burn burn bright
