At this point, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, and Wooyoung were all fast asleep. It was almost 2 AM and everyone was very exhausted mentally. The other four now hoped to fall asleep with the knowledge that the questionable eruption would occur in about three days. Mingi and Hongjoong stayed in the living room while San allowed Jongho to stay in his room. As Jongho laid on the floor with his mountain of blankets, he noticed something peaking out from under San's bed.
"Hey, San, are you still awake?" Jongho asked quietly, in case he really was sleeping. However, Jongho could hear him moving and his head soon popped into view, staring down at Jongho with tired eyes. His earbuds were still in, and his rain sounds paused to listen to Jongho.
"What's with the notebook down here?" he asked.
It was obvious to anyone who entered San's room that said boy was a perfectionist. Everything had its purpose and place in the room to San, so the notebook was quite easy for Jongho to notice.
Feel free to read it. Jongho was caught off guard hearing San's voice in his head. San merely laid back down and turned his rain sounds on once again. He was incredibly tired, which is a pretty huge statement coming from someone who never gets enough sleep as it is.
Jongho was hesitant to grab the green notebook; he wasn't sure what he was going to find. It felt, to him, like an invasion of San's privacy even though he was given permission. Reluctantly, he opened the first page. It was filled with detailed accounts of people's thoughts, from his brothers, to neighbors, to strangers he'd pass on the streets. After flipping through the countless pages, he quickly closed the notebook when he spotted his name from earlier in the day.
He figured that San was asleep now, and decided that his questions could wait for when they'd awake the next day.

At around seven o'clock the next morning, there was a loud knock on the door. Wooyoung was the only person awake at this time, and wanting to make food for everyone now staying in their apartment. The place wasn't meant for eight to stay in, and it felt extremely cramped. Wooyoung had to maneuver around Hongjoong and Mingi who were both still asleep in order to reach the front door.
Upon opening the door with a bright smile on his face, Wooyoung saw a boy who looked to be a few years younger than him. He figured the boy had some sort of office job by the way he was dressed: a simple, uniform outfit. Before he had the chance to greet the boy, he began talking in a light, almost angelic, voice.
"Hello! My name is Kai, Huening Kai. I'm visiting you today on behalf of The Daily Journal. Do you happen to know a... Jongho?" the boy asked, checking his small notepad to make sure he had Jongho's name correct.
Despite Kai's sweet appearance, Wooyoung instantly became wary of him. Jongho told everyone about what he knows, and about his conversation with Hyunjin. Did the newsroom figure out that Jongho knew more than he should? Were they coming after him now, in the form of the kind looking boy who stood before him? Kai could sense his apprehension. His smile dropped slightly as he tried to reproach the situation a different way.
"I understand that my unexpected appearance at your doorstep is likely unwanted, but I need to talk to Jongho. It's a matter of everyone's safety, the world could be at danger if I do not talk to him right now."
"What do you mean 'the world?'" Wooyoung exclaimed, shutting the door behind him. "I thought this volcano thing is only affecting the surrounding area!"
It was now Kai who showed apprehension. There was a fine line as to what was too much information, and he decided to choose his next words carefully.
"I can't exactly tell you, since the information is classified. However, you won't have to worry about this if I can just talk to the guy for even a few minutes," Kai said. Wooyoung thought for a moment about whether or not to trust him. If what he said is true, than maybe it is better for him to see Jongho. He nodded and opened the door to let Kai inside.
Seonghwa was the only other person awake now, making coffee for himself. He immediately stopped when he saw Wooyoung with a stranger in their doorway. He put the pot of hot coffee down before rushing over to where they stood.
"Wooyoung, who the hell is this? You should know by now that we can't fit anymore guests here-"
"Oh, I'm not here to stay. I just need to speak with Jongho on a private matter. I believe he's being housed here," Kai said with a polite smile on his face. Seonghwa watched him with a hard look on his face, he couldn't figure out if he was just tired or if he was angry at him, and he didn't want to find out.
"Why do you talk so formally?" Wooyoung blurted out. Kai seemed to be caught off guard, but answered nonetheless.
"My apologies, is this not how huma- I mean, it's just how I've always spoken," he said, giving an awkward laugh at the end. Just as his laughter wore down, Jongho walked out of San's room, hair sticking out in all directions. When he put his glasses on, he was surprised to see an unfamiliar face. But he knew what he was here for. They'd finally come for him.
