Chapter 35

The next day we were hanging in the main bit of the Isle near the entrance with Uma and other pirates and a few others. Word got out about me and Mal being Hades's daughters, to my surprise, not many people seemed bothered by it. Of course there were a few who questioned how true this was but they would never dare say anything to my dads face.

"So, has Lila tried getting you back yet?" I ask Hadie as he joins us, he nudges me slightly.

"You're lucky that you're my sister." He grumbles. "She's stayed away since we got back, but she keeps staring at us from over there." He nods his head to indicate where she is, I look and she was indeed staring at us.

"You know she kind of reminds me of someone from Auradon." I say.

"Who?" Harry asks me as he now also looks at her and then back at me trying to figure out who I meant.

"Chad." Hadie and Uma let out a laugh while Harry gives me a confused look. "My ex, the one who was locked in the cottage, ran out screaming that he's free."

"Oh, him!" Harry now grins. "I kind of see it."

"Maybe they'd be perfect together."

"Really?"

"She wants to be loved and have attention, Chad also loves attention and I think that once he finds the one he'll actually change his attitude."

"You mean change the fact that he cheated on you?"

"Yup, that."

"Who cheated on who?" I hear my dads voice from right behind me, I turn around and give him a quick smile.

"Nothing." I, Harry and surprisingly Hadie say at the same time.

"Hmm." He eyes us all, Harry being the last person he eyes up.

"Dad, be nice."

"I am. Now who cheated on you, other than him?"

"It doesn't matter, it's in the past. I'm happy now okay?"

"Hey guys, look." Uma says in excitement, we look to where she was pointing. The entrance gate was being opened by magic and the bridge now appears there instantly. "She did it. Mal really did it." We all grin and everyone begins to wonder across the bridge, as we get across I see Ben and Mal.

"Ben! Mal!" I yell out, we all run and hug each other. "You did it, you really did it." We pull away from the hug.

"Everyone needs a second chance. If we could do that to Audrey then why not the others?" Ben tells me, I look around at everyone now mingling. I notice Audrey was talking with Harry, but I know the stance that she's doing. She's trying to flirt.

"Speaking of Audrey, I swear if she's flirting with Harry." They follow my gaze.

"I think he can handle it." Ben smiles, me and Mal look at him. "What?"

"You like him now?" Mal questions him.

"He did help save Aurdon and he's dating Hallie, so I have to learn to like him."

"Audrey doesn't look too happy, she's really trying isn't she?" I comment as I watch Audrey try harder to get Harry's attention, but his eyes just kept finding mine. He says something before walking towards us with Audrey right behind him, following him like a lost puppy.

"They're coming over." Mal tells us. Harry's eyes never left mine as he walked to us, once he was close enough he takes my face gently in his hands and places his lips over mine. I smile under the kiss and I feel him do the same, Ben lets out a cough to make us stop. Which it did but it never got rid of the big grin that I know is plastered on my face right now.
