Chapter 19

Once I arrive at Neverland I see a blonde woman waiting for me, I get out of the car and she smiles.

"Hi, you must be Princess Hallie." She does a little curtsey.

"Hi, just Hallie. Please." I smile and shake her hand.

"Of course, I'm Tinkerbell by the way."

"Nice to meet you."

"I'll introduce you to everyone." She leads the way to outside of a main building, it's so beautiful here. Everyone seems so friendly, all saying hello and greeting us both as we walk. Once we arrive, there are a few others waiting for us. Tinkerbell introduces me to them, there was Tilly, her daughter. Her husband, Terence and a few of her friends Bobble and Clank.

"I've heard things about you." Tilly tells me.

"Oh?" I question her, that didn't surprise me. The way Audrey works, I'm sure the whole world knows by now.

"Tilly. We talked about this." Tinkerbell warns her.

"I'm just saying, nobody here cares about who your parents are. We believe in second chances." I smile at her. "Can I show her around?"

"Fine, but be back later. Queen Clarion wants to meet her."

"Of course mother." Tilly looks at me. "Come on Hallie, I'll show you the best places." With that she begins to walk away, I follow her.

"It's so beautiful here already." I mention.

"It really is. But I like to see what other places are like."

"Me too, I've only seen two other places. Well now three."

"Where was the other? I know one was your home."

"Isle of the Lost."

"Oh."

"You should make sure to never mention that place again." A girl tells me, she looks roughly a year younger than me. I'll be shocked if she's older. The thing that stands out the most when I see her is her dark red hair.

"Why not?"

"We don't speak of it. It's a rule, you'll do your best to follow it."

"And this is Oakley. Her dad is Peter Pan." Tilly tells me.

"Isn't he a rule breaker?"

"Was a rule breaker. Past tense." Oakley tells me as a matter of fact.

"She's big on following rules." Tilly informs me, well this is going to be different.

"Trust me, that's not fun."

"It is to me, you just don't understand."

"I was raised by King Beast and Queen Belle. I did nothing but follow rules." I tell Oakley.

"Then you should understand."

"Oakley, come on. Hallie, just got here. Don't be all goody two shoes now." Tilly says to her.

"I'm following the rules like we're supposed to."

"What happens if we don't?"

"Here we go." Tilly sighs.

"I'll report you to Queen Clarion! Rules are for a reason, they keep us all safe. They keep things good and proper, we don't have space for rule breakers." Oakley snaps as she glares at me. "Do I make myself clear?"

"Are you trying to intimidate me into following rules?" I challenge her.

"I'll leave the rule book on your table! You better have it read by morning." With that she storms away, I carefully watch her go away. Just as I'm about to look back at Tilly, I notice Oakley sneaky behind some bushes a bit closer to us. I hold back my smirk knowing full well that she is trying to spy on us. Not so much of a rule follower by doing that.

"I'm not sure who's worse, her or Audrey." I say to Tilly.

"I'm sorry about her, sadly she's always like this."

"Is there a reason she's like that?" We begin to walk around a bit more, each time I keep noticing Oakley trying to follow us.

"She got told off for flying outside of lesson time when she knew not to back when we were kids, since then she makes sure to never break rules."

"You can't use magic either?"

"Fairies can when they need to or when working. Other than that, not really."

"Magic isn't all bad."

"I know, but it's the rules."

"You know that Oakley has being following us since she left right?" I whisper to Tilly.

"What? No way." She whispers back, I nod.

"She's hiding behind the rose bushes to our left." Tilly sneaks a look and then looks back to me.

"Wow. How did you know?"

"Doesn't matter." I don't really want to tell her I had to sneak about so that I could get to the Isle, I walk over to the bushes. "You need to sneak around a bit better Oakley." She jumps and comes out from behind the bush.

"I wasn't sneaking!" She quickly defends herself.

"Right, sorry. Is stalking a better word?"

"Hmmph."

"She's right Oakley, you were sneaking around following us." Tilly says as she walks up to us.

"I'm doing my duty!"

"Duty isn't stalking me or anyone all because you don't want people breaking rules." I tell her.

"Well maybe if people behaved I wouldn't have to."

"Tilly, Oakley." We turn to see a woman coming towards us along with Terence and another man, Tilly and Oakley do a small bow. She must be Queen Clarion.

"Your majesty." I bow slightly

"You must be Hallie. I've heard a lot about you."

"All good I hope." She smiles.

"Of course. I see you've made friends already."

"It's hard not too. They're both really nice."

"We haven't even hung out properly. I've only told you about my duty." Oakley crosses her arms. "I wouldn't call us friends."

"Oakley, we've been through this." The man whose name I don't know speaks.

"Why can't it be my duty dad? I'm the only one good enough to follow rules, other than Queen Clarion, obviously." Oh, he must be Peter Pan.

"I'm glad that you're good but it was one time."

"One time too many."

"Hallie." Queen Clarion speaks, making everyone be quiet. "I thought you'd like to meet who you're staying with."

"Oh yes." I smile.

"This is Peter Pan. He's offered to let you stay with him and Oakley while you're here."

"What?" Oakley looks annoyed about finding this out. "I didn't agree to this!"

"Thank you, it'll be a pleasure staying with you both." I smile to Peter.

"She can't!"

"She can and she is Oakley." Peter tells her, he then smiles to me. "I've had your things taken to our home already."

"Oh, thank you."

"You remember Terence? I've asked that he shows you how dust keeping works, I'm told that you enjoy learning new things." Queen Clarion informs me.

"I do. I find it interesting learning about how things happen that I don't know or understand."

"Perfect! You're going to enjoy it, I can tell." Terence says to me.

"You will start tomorrow Hallie." I nod. "I hope you enjoy your stay here, I'll be sure to check in with you." With that she leaves.

"I'll come and meet you tomorrow and show you the way." Terence smiles and leaves.

"Well, how about we show you our home?" Peter speaks. "Lets go Oakley." I follow them both, I could see that Oakley really didn't want me to be staying with them. This made me want to stay more, she has no reason to not like me especially when she's only just met me.
