Chapter 6 : Safe and Sound

Jasper's point of view

I  was watching the blond nomad vampire. "Why are they so close to the high school?!" I asked myself. I was in front of Fox. All I could feel from my mate was fear, confusion, I assume that was from the blond vampire sucking the burgundy haired student dry, and sadness. The sadness I didn't know where that was from. I needed some answer but before I needed to kick the blond enemy's ass. I looked back at Fox. He was pale and his breathing was shallow and quick. "Fox, when I say run you run that way toward school. Run as fast as you can and don't look back." I said looking at the boy, my mate. Fox slowly nodded his head. "I I wi-will." He stuttered out. I smiled happy that he was a good boy. I counted to three in my head then tol d him to run which he did. I am so proud of him. I can see that he listens really well or maybe it's just his human instinct telling him to listen. I squared myself when I saw the the vampire wanted to run after my mate. "You really think you will get to him he is my mate don't you dare touch him or I swear to god I will wipe you off the surface of the planet!" I threatened. The blond guy caught to my threat. He spun on his heals after hissing at me and ran away. I ran back to the school and saw Fox hunched over throwing up. I think the stress got to him. I walked closer to the boy and started rubbing his back. "Shh darling everything will be okay now. I promise." My southern accent slipped in while I spoke. "Thank you but who are you?" His angelic voice rang after a few minutes of him giving his breakfast to the garbages behind the bleachers on near the football ground. "My name's Jasper Hale." I answered softly. I was by now running my cold as ice fingers into his light wheat field coloured hair. I felt him shiver. "Are you ok darling? Do you want to go to the nurse's office?" I asked gently. He shook his head. "No thank you Jasper." He mumbled. I smiled when I heard my mate say my name. "What's your name darling?" I asked.
