Down in the dark depths of hell lies the demon in charge of it all, Satan. Thousands of years ago he had married an evil woman and they had two children, Devin and Diane. The woman had disappeared right after the kids were born and was never seen again. So, that left two young children and the ruler of the Underworld alone.
Satan was an enormous demon about ten feet tall. He has light crimson skin with bended horns and a long pointed tail. In contrast, Devin was only six feet tall and had skin as white as a ghost. He had two small red horns and huge dark red wings just like his younger sister. Diane's wings and horns were black and her skin was a darker red. Devin, who was always concerned with fashion, wore tight black clothes with silver chains while Diane wore more comfortable black clothes. She cared more about comfort rather than style.
Devin and Diane could travel freely to Earth. On this day, Diane was up on Earth sitting on top of a tall building in New York City, listening to music. All of her favorite songs were hard rock and she would listen to it a lot. It was late at night, so no one could see her. Diane loved looking at the lights of the city at night. She hears a door open behind her and slowly turns around to see a young man who had just noticed her. Diane takes out her earbuds and stands up on the ledge. The man steps closer to her with his hands in the air, trying to show that he wouldn't hurt her. Diane looks at the man's outfit and then realizes that he was a security guard. "Hey kid, can you get down from there before you get hurt?" he asks, in a soft voice. "You know what? Nah." Diane says before leaning back and falling off of the building. The man rushes over to the edge of the building and looks over, panicked. Diane falls through the air, getting closer and closer to the ground. She spreads her wings and starts to slow down. She starts flapping her wings and begins flying. She opens a red, swirling portal to hell with the flick of her fingers. She goes through the portal and lands on the hard rocky ground to see Devin. "What's up?" Devin asks. "I scared the hell out of this one guy!" Diane says, laughing. "Really, what'd you do?" he asks, interested. "I jumped off a building." she says. "Nice!" Devin says.
They both start walking to their huge red castle in the middle of the Underworld, talking and laughing all the way. Once they got inside they decided to go their separate ways. Diane goes into her father's throne room and sees him laying down on the ground. "Dad?" she says, still laughing from earlier. Her father didn't respond. She walks up to her father and looks at his face. His eyes were open but he wasn't moving or blinking. There was a huge black sword lodged in his chest with blood spilling out. Diane falls to her knees and tries to shake her father awake. "Dad!" she shouts, tears filling her eyes. "Devin!" she shouts. Devin rushes into the room to see Diane and his father. "Dad!" he shouts. The Devil was dead and it was just the two of them now. They both wondered who could have done this.
After a few hours of being together and grieving, Diane starts to remember something. "Remember what Dad used to say?" Diane asks. Devin looks at Diane confused. "If something ever happened to him Hell wouldn't be safe for us. We have to go to the surface." she says. Devin wipes his tears and then stands up. "You're right, start packing," he says. Diane nods and then goes into her bedroom. All of the lights were red and so were the walls and furniture. There was a black punching bag hanging from the ceiling and a smashed mirror in the corner of her room. Diane sniffles and then starts grabbing clothes out of her closet. She puts on a pair of fingerless gloves and a black hoodie. She grabs her backpack and then throws all of her stuff into it. She throws her bag onto her bed for a moment and looks at her punching bag. She punches it hard, she's filled with sadness and anger. The punching bag comes off of the ceiling and goes through the wall. Diane wipes a tear from her face, showing no emotion in her eyes. She now felt just numb inside. She puts on her hood and grabs her bag and then goes to Devin. He opens a portal to the surface and they both walk into it ready for a new life. They looked all around at the tall buildings of New York City to see towering skyscrapers and the dark surroundings they were in. They both walk out of the alleyway and get to the sidewalk. They start walking and then eventually blend into the crowd. They keep on walking for a few minutes before stopping at a somewhat decent alleyway. They both sit down and start thinking about what to do. "Should we get an apartment?" Diane asks. "That might be the best idea. We don't have any money though." Devin says. "We could rob a few banks, we are demons after all." Diane says. "Yeah, that'll darken the mood!" Devin says. They both stand up and dap each other up before starting to walk away. Then, they get stopped by a strange man with dirty clothes and a handgun. "Give me all your money!" he shouts, pointing the gun at them both. The kids both look at each other and try not to laugh. Diane looks at the man and hits the gun out of his hand easily. She lifts him up by the collar of his shirt and then throws him so far that he lands in the street. Diane dusts her hands off and then high fives Devin. "First day on Earth and we're already causing chaos." Devin says, proudly. "Damn right." Diane says. They begin walking and then Diane gets an idea. "Oh, follow me. I know a good place to stay!" she says, taking off her hoodie and stretching out her wings. "Okay." Devin says. They both take off and start flying into the air and above the city. Diane and Devin both set themselves down on top of a high building and sit down on the ledge. "I would always come here to listen to music." Diane says. "It's great!" he says. They figured they could stay there for a while to get things off of their mind and talk about what they were going to do for their future. They hadn't forgotten about their father, but they just couldn't spend time grieving for him as they had too much to think about and plan for. They knew that they would be alright though as long as they had each other.
