With a dense thud, you closed the book in front of you with an aggravated snarl. Surely this wasn't the first time that this... ailment had occurred to someone.

Surrounded by a shelf's worth of books like some odd literary pentagram, you were combing through all of the information they possessed; trying desperately to find some sort of lead to help restore Mirio's quirk.

Except, it was quite near impossible to find any remote link about restoring quirks when they'd been removed. With every passage, your irritation bubbled and brewed until you finally threw the heavy tome across your floor in anger, gripping your head as the headache that had long since developed throbbed in your temples.

"How the heck am I supposed to do this?" You thought miserably. " If the pros can't even figure out how to get it back, then...

...how the fuck is an eighteen year old meant to?"

These kinds of thoughts had been gnawing at your psyche every night this week while you holed yourself away in your room searching desperately for something; anything. You had long passed the point of crying, becoming numb to the knowledge and since wielding some sort of twisted drive to fix the issue; driven by despair mostly. Despair of not being able to help the one person you cared for so deeply for; the one person that mattered more to you than anyone else.

"Maybe I'm just not equipped with the right readings." You mumbled, an idea flickering dimly in your head. "I wonder if Recovery Girl has something..."

The more you dwelled on it, the more it made sense. Recovery Girl had a whole library of texts in the infirmary, but they were all behind locked cabinets. The only way you'd have access to them is if you approached her directly and asked to borrow them, which would no doubt force your hand to tell her exactly what kind of information you were searching for.

Doing that, however, would mean admitting that you knew the circumstances of Mirio's absence, which means that the embargo was broken. That would cause an investigation and you would rather not have the faculty grilling Tamaki and the others about who ratted out that leak. There were already security concerns as it was, hence the reason all of the students had now moved into sanctuary of their respective class dorms.

So now the next question was...how do you lie to your mentor?

The very idea of it made you cringe and a smattering of guilt well up in your stomach. Even thinking about deceiving her in any sense of the word was almost unthinkable; she had given you nothing but respect and guidance to turn you into the budding hero you are. You could almost imagine the look in her eyes if she found out; the very definition of 'I'm not angry, just disappointed.' Maybe you could talk to her like it was some extra curricular work. Take as many different avenues as you could to get as many different readings as possible. It wasn't like you weren't someone who didn't normally have their face buried in a textbook...

"Fuck it." You hissed.

Mirio was worth the risk.

You glanced at a small clock on your wall with a stern look. It was late afternoon, but early enough you might catch her there still. You knew Recovery Girl had the habit of working late, even in her elderly state. With a groan and internal complaints from your muscles, you stood up from your mess of books on the floor and stretched before running a brush through your hair and attempting to freshen your face up enough with a wipe. It worked, somewhat; the peppermint extract in the fibers gave your brain a kick start out of the fog it was settled in. School bag in hand, you slipped on your shoes and all but ran out of your room, down the stairs and out of the door before you gave yourself an opportunity to rethink and talk yourself out of your plan.
