PROLOGUE

TODAY is the day that I will be meeting new people.

Acquaintance party ngayon ng lahat ng first year.

I'm nervous but I know I can get through this like I always do.

It's 5:30 pm already, but the event will start at 6 pm. So, maaga pa naman ako.

Nang makapasok na ako sa school someone immediately greet me.

"Hello, Ma'am. Welcome to Solstice University," then she bowed at me.

I guess they're the ushers who greets everyone na papasok sa university.

Ngumiti na lang ako sa kanya at nagpasalamat. Pumunta agad ako sa gymnasium ng school para kumuha ng activity card kasi ni-require kaming lahat sa event na 'to mismo.

Umupo na lang ako sa parte na walang masyadong tao at naghintay na magsimula ang program.

I was busy scrolling through my phone when suddenly someone sat beside me.

"Hi! I'm Vionne! I believe you're Treia, right?" inabot niya ang kamay niya sakin para makipagkamay kaya nakipagkamay na lang ako.

She had a long jet-black hair, two pairs of deep dimples, fair skin, and long lashes.

Pretty.

"Hehe. H-how did yo-," I couldn't continue what will I say when she interrupted me.

"Paano ko nalaman ang pangalan mo? Simple lang naman, I stalked every first year din na ka-course ko and I found you. Why are you alone nga pala?" she asked. "Ow, silly me. 'Di mo na kailangan sagutin," then she laughed.

It seems that she realized that it's normal for me to be alone. First year palang ako 'no. I'm not that sociable para magka friends agad.

"I noticed na you're alone kaya nilapitan kita. Sorry, did I scare you or made you uncomfy ba?" she worriedly asked me.

I laughed awkwardly. "No, nabigla lang ako."

"Oh, I see. I'm glad naman. Uhm, by the way, you wanna come with me? I'll introduce you to other girlies na nakilala ko kanina. And don't worry lahat sila ay ka course natin," she said then guided me where to go.

As soon as we arrived sa part ng gym kung nasaan ang mga nakilala niya kanina, Vionne introduced me to them one by one.

"Hello everyone! This is Treia. Ka-course natin siya," Vionne said to them. "So, this is Olivia, Ely, and Aria."

"Hello," I said to them and they also greeted me back. They're all look kind naman.

Olivia is very intimidating at first glance, but when she smiled at me, all of that was gone. Her wavy black hair is pretty. Her thick eyebrows are the ones I first noticed when I look at her, and she has smooth, fair skin.

Ely is very mestiza-looking. Her long, bouncy brown hair compliments her skin color, hazelnut eyes, pinkish cheeks, and small face.

And Aria has morena skin, short black hair, siren eyes, kissable lips, and a square face.

I felt awkward after I looked at them one by one.

Treia, this is okay. You said earlier to just go with the flow.

Huminga na lang ako nang malalim para itago ang awkwardness na nararamdaman ko.

After that introduction, we just chitchat for a while before the emcees of this event spoke.

"Hello, everyone! I'm Ate Mia!"

"And I'm Kuya Enzo!"

"And welcome to Solstice University!" they both said in unison.

"So, tonight. Marami kaming inihandang activities and performances just for you, guys! So, better hang out with us 'till the very end ha," Ate Mia said then laughed.

"Oo nga naman. Your Ate Mia is right, this event will help you get comfortable with this kind of crowd and also meet some friends to spend your college life with. 'Di ba Ate Mia?" Kuya Enzo said.

"True ka jan, Kuya Enzo. So, without further Ado let's call President Anton Salvador for his opening remarks!" Ate Mia.

"Let's give the president a round of applause, everyone!" Kuya Enzo said then we obliged.

After the president of Solstice University gave his opening remarks, the Emcee's took over the floor again.

"Before everything else let's have an Ice Breaker to break the awkwardness on this place, shall we?" Ate Mia asked.

I don't have any interest on this kind of stuffs tho. Kaya nanahimik na lang ako dito sa gilid.

"By the way, girlies. Sabay-sabay na lang tayo magpa-stamp later, okay?" Vionne said. We all agreed naman.

Ano pa ba magagawa namin diba? Haha.

Aria and Vionne joined the ice breaker kaya kaming tatlo nina Olivia and Ely ang natira sa bleachers.

Buti na lang at sociable naman ang dalawang ito. Kaya kahit wala si Vionne ay okay lang.

"Come on. Let's take a picture," Ely said then held her phone to took a group-fie with us. "Picture na lang ulit tayo kapag nandito na 'yong dalawa."

We just posed and posed in every click she do.

Naging parang mga baliw na kami kaka-pose sa mga pictures na 'yon and pagbalik nina Vionne and Aria ay nagtatawanan na kami.

"Aba-aba, parang naging close na agad kayo jan. Nawala lang kami saglit ni Vionne eh," Aria teased us.

We just laughed it out.

"We just took a lot of pictures. Take a look at these pictures. Mukha kaming mga sira," then Ely laughed after she said that.

"It's cute, let's take photos too!" Vionne exclaimed.

So, we did.

"Kumusta nga pala ice breaker niyo?" Olivia asked them.

"Okay, naman. Wala 'di nanalo," Aria explained.

"There's so much people who joined kasi kaya we didn't had a chance to win the prize," then Vionne laughed gently.

"Muntik na kami manalo kanina," said Aria.

"Wait, we did?" Vionne asked her, confused.

"Oo! Katabi na natin 'yong nanalo eh, sayang nga." then we all laughed at her joke.

The emcees announced that there are foods and refreshments at the entrance of the gym and they said to feel free to get some there.

"Tara, kuha tayo ng pagkain," alok sa amin ni Aria.

"Tara," sabi ko naman.

"Sama ako," Vionne said then get up. "Dito na lang kayo Ely and Olivia. We'll get some for you na lang."

The two nodded and said thank you.

Nang makarating kami sa lamesa kung nasaan ang mga pagkain, kumuha agad kaming tatlo ng kung ano-ano.

Fries, burgers, pizza, and some buko juice for our drink.

Binitbit ni Aria at Vionne ang mga pagkain, ako naman sa drinks.

After I figured out how will I bring the drinks. I lifted them then faced Aria and Vionne, when suddenly someone bumped at me and all of the drinks got spilled on my shirt!

"Shit!" I suddenly said.

Ang lamig!

"Oh, fuck. I'm so sorry, miss," said the guy who bumped me.

"Kuya? What taking you so long? Hala, lagot ka!"
