The next day, Hiroto went outside the church to get some decorations for it. As he was reaching for a tool, His eyes went to Kayuri.

He watched her from the shadows, unable to take his eyes off of her. Something about her was... mesmerizing. He couldn't explain it, but he just couldn't help but keep an eye on her when he saw her. Why was she so important to him...? Why did she keep making his heart beat faster and faster like this? Just the sight of her was enough to make him stop breathing for a second. He couldn't help it. She was so beautiful. So divine. So pure; and for some reason, he couldn't look away from her~

Hiroto's red eyes glowed, as he was falling in love with a girl. His star pupils glowed too, in happiness and pure bliss. His heart seemed to go crazy whenever he looked at her... his breath began to quicken as he felt that special feeling in his chest, growing each time he laid eyes on her. His heart felt like it was going to burst through his chest, and he just couldn't get enough of her. Her beauty was irresistible. He couldn't help but find her enchanting, just like she was some sort of fairy or a goddess... she was just too perfect to be anything less...

Small footsteps could be heard in the room, followed by huge ones. Hiroto turned around just to see Queen Mafuyu again. Little Miyuki was nowhere to be seen.

"This church of Ai must be destroyed, This structure is a shame to the people's eyes." Just when Mafuyu was entering the church, Kayuri blocked her. Hiroto's eyes widened in shock as he saw Queen Mafuyu make her way towards him, his heart pounding out of his chest as he realized what she had come to do. But before he could move, he saw Kayuri block her path. He held his breath, his heart racing like never before. Was the battle about to begin...?

Kayuri shouted on top of her lungs as the Queen gave her a slow, painful death. In response, she knocked off Mafuyu, taking Hiroto's soul with her running away. "H-hiroto..." She hugged him. Kayuri's blood was dripping from her stomach and her mouth was overflowing with blood.

He was watching the scene in utter shock and disbelief, his eyes widening as he saw Kayuri shout at the Queen and take the hit for him. He felt his heart sink inside his chest, the sound of the Queen's cold laugh ringing in his ears. Then, he felt a warm embrace from Kayuri, and his whole world felt like it was shaking. No... this couldn't be happening... not like this... not her... His voice was soft and quiet as he looked at her, unable to process everything that was happening around him.

"Kayuri..."

Kayuri took Hiroto away from the church, as she wants to protect him so badly. "My deepest regrets, ghost boy. I couldn't be with you anymore..." She gasped for her final breath and died slowly, caressing Hiroto's translucent cheeks. It felt like his heart had been torn apart. Kayuri was the person he loved, the person he wanted to build his life with. This wasn't supposed to happen this way. He held her closely, as tears ran down his cheeks. He didn't want to believe that she was gone... that she had left him alone in this cruel and unforgiving world...

"No... no, no... no, please... I can't lose you... I don't want to lose you... I love you, Kayuri..." Hiroto felt like he was going to scream... he felt like the world was falling apart beneath him, like there was nothing left for him... like everything had been taken away from him. He didn't know what to do, or how to process this pain... he felt lost...

Hiroto went back to the church hurriedly where he saw Little Miyuki in a small space, hiding. "H-hiroto-kun!" She crawled out of the space, running to hug Hiroto. His heart swelled with emotion when he saw her rush towards him, and he gathered her in his arms and hugged her tightly, his lips trembling as they moved close to her ear.

"Miyuki..." He spoke softly, his voice tainted by grief and sorrow. He had failed to protect her and Kayuri... and all he could do now was to hold Miyuki close and try to protect her for as long as he could. He held her small face in his hands, feeling her gentle tears.

"The other priests here is still alive. Countess Columbina is trying to protect the maidens outside."
Miyuki pointed at the girl with a waffle-looking blindfold. The girl kicked out the Queen's servants and soldiers, keeping the church sacred.
