Percy was quiet for dinner but he did come to the fountain that evening. Fleur was surprised that he still showed up. They worked on their spells in silence. The occasional instructions came from Percy and the occasional small talk from Fleur.

She appreciated how he still showed up to work together, she is sure that he is a prodigy, or a natural. Percy had this elegant yet chaotic feel around him and his magic.

Day 2

Every lesson felt like a daze for Percy. He keeps hearing the scream in his dreams, he'd wake up in sweat and up to run and help. That morning he even ran to the hall just to realize that he dreamt about it.

For breakfast he sat with his mother who rubbed his back with a mournful look on her face. "Try to enjoy your day Percy." She'd whisper. Percy just couldn't, however he still gave his mother a smile and would whisper back, "I will, mom."

They'd part and Lou would be at his side, at all times. She had been there for him when it first happened, what kind of sister would she be if she wasn't there now? Fleur was there as well, besides him in every lesson. They had chosen to be deskmates at every desk. Normally she'd be paying attention and hanging onto every word but not that day.

That day she was writing lesson related jokes on a piece of paper, taken from her notebook, to give to Percy. The best she had gotten out of him was a chuckle. After each joke she'd share a look with Lou.

Lou said that he needed a day.

Fleur hopes so, she had gotten a bit attached to the young wizard. She didn't know what it was like to have a male friend that doesn't seem to flirt with you at every turn.

Talking about flirting, a boy from the older grade walked up to Fleur and asked her on a date. She refused and he continued to pester her until he hoped that she would say yes. When it didn't come, Percy had had enough and pulled his wand out, "Langlock." He had jinxed the older boy, the boy's tongue was not glued onto his roof.

"Are you going to continue talking?" Percy questioned, the boy shook his head. "Are you going to continue asking Fleur out?" He hesitated before shaking his head. "Good." He then ended the jinx on the boy and walked away.

Fleur was a bit in shock before she followed Percy, to the fountain. She followed and sat down beside Percy on the ground. She put her hand on his knee, making him look up at her.

"Thank you." She said softly.

Percy gave her a small smile and nodded. "He was annoying me." He said quietly.

"I know. He was annoying me as well." She admitted but frowned, "You could get in trouble for doing that." She said.

Percy shrugged, "I don't mind detention." He sighed and enlarged the shrunk book from his pocket. "Do you want to read or practice?"

Fleur looked at him with a soft expression, "Read." She said and took the offered book from Percy, "Which one is this?"

"Fantastic beasts and where to find them, Newt Scamander." Percy said, "It is for our creature care class. It is a great read. You can see the enthusiasm that Scamander has for the creatures."

Fleur listened as Percy continued talking.

"Scamander worked for the Ministry twice before he left to write Fantastic Beasts and where to find them. This is actually a fifth year read, but Professor Vlahos lives with us and gave it to me in advance because of the animals that we have on the farm." Fleur raised her eyebrow, a fifth year read? "He was actually the reason for a werewolf register. Which has its side effects, for example, werewolves have harder times keeping down a job."
