[A little mature!]
Ashley.
Ashley Wickets.
Long brown curly hair, rosy cheeks, long eyelashes- which some say gave her the appearance of a real life doll.
She had really nice teeth.
Perfect and white.
I knew that because she smiled a lot. Because that's what Ashely always did- she smiled because she was happy. Always happy.
She laughed too, and giggled at almost everything- even at somebody's jokes that weren't all that funny.
Her favourite colour was pink.
She had a pet bunny named Jessie.
She was on the girls basketball team.
She wore her school uniform everyday to school with perfection with no exceptions- which couldn't be said for the rest of the student body.
I thought about her a lot.
But I never dared to speak to her. Ever.
She would often catch my constant stares- but instead of having the courage to stare back I would whip my head away.
I wasn't that cool, good looking guy that could snap his fingers and have the girl of his dreams fall into his heart.
I'm too shy and timid for my own fucking good. I was tall but lanky. I thought myself average looking- my face only just recovering from another heart shattering acne breakout.
I thought I was an average looking guy, with an average personality living a pretty average life.
I wasn't miserable but I damn sure wasn't happy- not to mention I am riddled with constant anxiety with a past stuttering problem.
Not exactly Mr Sexy, am I?
She didn't seem notice any of my flaws though, or maybe didn't seem to care. Her smiles pierced through me like diamonds. She never failed to make my heart thump fast beneath my chest.
I didn't know when or how- but I just knew that one day I was going to finally garner the courage to talk to her and maybe, just maybe- ask her out?
A guy can only dream... a dream that I could only keep to myself.
