SEBASTIAN'S POV

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you-"

"Fuck off!"

I tugged my duvet back over my head- trying to block out the horrendous sight that was my family thrusting a cake towards my face at seven in the morning.

"But it's your birthday-"

"I'm not interested!" I groaned- my whole body still groggy from sleep. "I can't believe your ambushing me on my birthday!" I whined.

"Oh, come on sweetie." My mom encouraged, flashing a camera in my face whilst pushing the cake further into my face. "Blow the candles out and make a wish."

"And make it quick please!- It's an ice-cream cake." My dad said, pushing his glasses further up his nose.

"He knows it's an ice cream cake-"

"Just let him blow it out sweetie- c'mon."

"If I blow the candles out- will you all leave my bedroom?" I widened my brown eyes in an attempt to gain any sort of sympathy.

My older and unfortunately only sister Kelly tilted her head to one side- pretending to think. "Maybe."

I frowned. "Congratulations, you win the award for worst sister ever."

She smirked. "I'll make sure to thank you in my speech."

And with that, I closed my eyes and blew out the 18 candles that sat on the now melted birthday cake in front of me.

I wish aliens would kidnap me tomorrow so I don't have to stay another day on this crummy earth.

I smiled and snapped my eyes open again."Ooh, what did you wish for!?" My mom asked excitedly.

"He can't tell you babe." My dad interrupted her. "Or else it won't come true."

"Oh yes, yes. That's very true, I forgot."

"Get out!" I yelled, finally losing my patience.

They all scrambled towards the door- but my mom wanted to get her last words out.

"Oh! And by the way sweetie- Coraline and the cheer squad are coming over later to set up a little birthday surprise for you." My mom explained excitedly. "But I promised I wouldn't say what."
