Chapter 7

As I'm trying to fall asleep at 2am, I heard a ringing coming from my phone. I grunted and reached for it. It doesn't really matter, because I couldn't fall asleep anyways. I answered the phone, "Hello? Who's this?" I didn't even bother looking at the ID caller.

"Hey Y/n, I'm sorry for bothering you so early. I just wanted to talk to you about something. Could you possibly meet me at the edge of the forest?" I realized Willa had called me. Meet her in the forest? Why at this time?

"Umm sure Willa, give me 20 minutes." I said as I rubbed my eyes. It wasn't like I was going to fall asleep anytime soon. "Okay, bring a jacket. It's kinda cold out here." She hanged up and I got dressed. I made my way to the front door, trying not to make too much noise.

I was about to open the door, when I heard a cough behind me. I turned around and saw Addison with her arms crossed. "Where are you going at 2am?" I sighed with relief, I though it was mom or dad.

"Willa called me to meet her. Don't worry, I'll be fine." She looked at me as if to see if I was telling the truth. "Okay, just be careful." And with that, she walked upstairs to her room.

I walked outside, hugging my jacket to my body because of the cold air. I shiver at it hitting my neck and face. I look around, barely being able to see anything.

I take out my flashlight and make my way to the forest. While walking to where Willa asked me to meet her, I hear a twig snap. I quickly look in the direction where it came from.

I direct my flashlight at the spot I think I heard it. I see nothing. When I go to walk even further, my flashlight goes out. I sigh, "No, not now!" I grunt out softly. I hit the flashlight, wanting it to turn on. It doesn't budge, so I put it away.

I hear the wind rustling the trees, was it the wind? I shake the though out of my head and hug my jacket even closer to my figure. I keep on walking, reminding myself that I'm okay.

I hear a faint growl and I quickly turn around, getting ready to hit the person behind me. They grab my wrist and panic hits in. I can't see a single thing out here, except for the person's silhouette. "Y/n, it's just me. Don't worry."

I recognize the voice as Wyatt's. I sigh with relief and instantly hug him. I feel so much safer now that he's here. I hear him laugh softly and he rubs my back. "Now tell me what you're doing out here at this time."

I release from the hug and look at him. "Well, Willa called me to meet her at the edge of the forest. I don't know why though." "Oh, well let me walk you there." I smile at him appreciatively.

"Thank you, that would be great." He puts his arm around me as we start walking. We talk all the way there. I'm so glad he found me, or I think I wouldn't have made it to Willa. "Thank you for walking me. I really appreciate it." He flashed my a smile with his fangs. I blush slightly and smile back at him.

"I would do it again if it meant it was with you." I felt blood rushing to my cheeks even faster. I'm so glad it's dark, or he would've seen the maroon colour on my face.

"Goodbye then." "Yeah, see you later then." He walks off and I see Willa standing to one side with a smirk on her face. "What was that?" I hear the slight amusement in her voice.

I blush and shake my head at her behavior. "He walked me here, because he found me. I was hearing things, because SOMEONE asked me to come here at the buttcrack of 2am."

"About that, I'm sorry. It's just important." "It's okay, but what is it?"
"I know you won't like this, but it's about the aliens."
