(Y/N) wanted out of this marine base.

After interrogating a passing soldier who sort of pitied him, (Y/N) learned that they were at the 153rd Marine Branch of the East Blue, in Shells Town.

Because Zoro sure as hell had no idea where they were.

Not only was (Y/N) of these marines realizing who he was and turning him in, but Zoro was making terrible company! I guess he's just a 'suffer in silence' kind of person.

"What's the first thing you're going to eat when you get out of here?" (Y/N) questioned. He could almost hear Zoro rolling his eyes.

"Way to make starving myself for another fifteen days easier, bud." He grumbled in response.

"Shit! I forgot about that! I'm just so hungry that I can't stop thinking about food..." the dragon groaned.

For whatever reason, (Y/N) got lumped into Zoro and the marine captain's son's "No Eat, No Execute" bet.

"Well, I think I deserve a nice cow! This was a very harrowing experience after all." The (h/c) colored male explained cheerfully.

Over the years, (Y/N) developed a very keen sense of people's emotions- most likely due to his Devil Fruit. While faint, (Y/N) swore he felt a little bit of amusement radiate off of Zoro.

"Tell you what, once the thirty days are up, I'll treat you to a steak. You just gotta wait for me to turn in a bounty or two, first."

"Why, thank you. I think that's the longest sentence you've ever spoken to me!"

Embarrassment was what (Y/N) felt from Zoro after that sentence.

Silence ensued. It was a comfortable silence, however. (Y/N) liked Zoro's smell, and the feelings of ambition that rolled off of him. He could be trapped with worse people, after all.

"How's the wound?" Zoro asked, stunning (Y/N).

"Was that concern?" He teased back.

"Forget I asked-"

"No! I was kidding. I appreciated you thinking of me."

They both chuckled dryly.

"Anyways, it's not healing well. I feel like if I move my arm, it'll rip back open."

"Your body doesn't have the energy to repair it."

"Now who's reminding who of food?"

--

(Y/N)'s nose twitched, and all three of his eyes narrowed. He picked up on three smells.

One was familiar. It was carrying rice again.

Another one smelled of all varieties of meat, and rubber.

You know how they say snakes can smell fear? That's what the third smell was. (Y/N) didn't need a third eye to detect that.

"Rika's back," (Y/N) informed Zoro.

"No, she's not-" Zoro was interrupted by a little girl with braids scaling the courtyard wall, "How the hell do you always know?!"

"I'm just that good."

The little girl approached the two, clutching a knapsack close to her chest. (Y/N) knew there were riceballs in there- except they had sugar, no smell of salt to be found.

[INTRODUCING: GRATEFUL RESIDENT, RIKA]

"What the hell are you doing back here?! Scram!" Zoro yelled harshly. He was trying to get her to leave, lest she be caught.
