It's finally here! The next part. Thank you to everyone who has been patiently waiting. I receieved asking if I was still updating, and I am! I promise, I will finish this story. I have to, because there is also a sequel in the works. Surprise! To make up for the delay (as usual), this is the longest part part. Enjoy! xx

Cale's POV

When I saw her, my heart stopped. Her eye was bruised, and her lip had at least ten stitches. Her eyes were closed as she faced the ceiling, like snow white, as she waited for Prince Charming to come. Except I wasn't prince charming, I was the poisoned apple. She wouldn't have ended up like this if it wasn't for me. I looked at the blankets covering her body and was scared t to know the damage that hid underneath.

I slowly walked over to her bed, not knowing if I should to wake her.

Sterling's POV

Laying still made everything hurt less. Closing my eyes meant I could hopefully fall asleep and wake up from this nightmare. I tried to run away from the past, but somehow I'm right back where I started with new scars to show for it.

I heard a noise to my right, and my eyes shot open, and within seconds, Cale was beside my bed, and this nightmare became a little more tolerable. I attempted to sit up, but the pain was too much, and I involuntarily winced in pain. He held out his hand and helped me sit up as much as possible.

"You are awake", Cale stated as I pulled the hospital blankets closer to me; I was still too scared to know what scars were developing underneath, even if this wasn't real. Was it? I wasn't sure yet; Getting kidnapped and fighting for my life sure felt real, yet, I almost felt like I was in a dream state at this moment. Just in case I never woke up, I had to know something.

"Where are they?" I asked, my voice shaky and weak.

"They're in custody. It's ok" His voice was soft and cautious, a tone I rarely ever heard from him. He squeezed my hand, and any sort of pain was briefly replaced with relief as his skin touched mine. Would I be able to feel his skin if this wasn't real?

"Charles?" I asked. My voice slowly returning.

"Police hid their cruisers just in time for him to show up. They caught him too." He stated as he brushed my matted hair back. I tried to take a deep breath in, but the pain wouldn't let me, and I let out a painful groan instead.

We stared at each other like awkward teenagers, not knowing how to react. This type of situation isn't one anyone plans for; they don't teach you how to 'suvive your own kidnapping' in survival course at school. Instead, they teach you how to make fire from sticks and how to hunt for fish, two things I've never fucking needed. Since I sadly had more experience with the situation we're in now, I should have said something first, but my voice was lost, forgetting how to form a complete sentence.

"Where does it hurt?" He finally asked.

"Everywhere...my side hurts the most where I was stabbed. Surprisingly, the bullet wound doesn't hurt as much as I thought it would. It's sad how I have a reference for both. I haven't se....."

"I thought I lost you", He interrupted, his voice in a desperate whisper as he lightly cupped my cheek and avoided the wounds on my face. I didn't know what my face looked like, but from the dull ache, I could imagine.

"But you didn't. I'm here." I just wanted to close my eyes and wake up somewhere else, anywhere else.

"You don't need to tell me what happened yet, but I thi...." Luckily he was interrupted by a new voice in the room, a doctor. I had never welcomed an interruption so much. Reliving the day of my life wasn't something I felt like doing. The doctor walked over with a clipboard, checking the monitor and evaluating my heart rate. "I'm sure you have a lot of questions. You lost quite a bit of blood, and we must ensure all your wounds don't get infected before we let you go.
