Zaira's POV
I was walking down the hall to my Science class until someone approached me. "Someone told me to give this to you." He said. It was a blue balloon. Then came another, and another, until it cam to the 17th one. "Go to the library." It said. And so I went to the library, only to find it empty. What is this? A prank? Since I'm in the library, better read some books from my favorite corner. When I went to the book section, I saw a guy. Not just any other guy, but Vernon. The school player, AND my BESTFRIEND. Why is he here? "Zaira, I have something to say." He said. "What is it Vernon?" I asked. "Please be my girlfriend? I like you." He said. I like him for a long time, and so I said yes.
Vernon' POV
She said yes! I am very happy. I didn't know what to do earlier since I was so nervous. I hope to have a good relationship with her.
*After 1 week*
Zaira's POV
It's been 1 week. So far, so good. I'm on my way to send Vernon a handmade lunch. On the way, I saw him. Not only him, but him with another girl. KISSING. "Now I know my biggest regret." I said, only enough for him to hear. "I can explain." He said. "What is there to explain for? I thought you were serious about me, but you played with me, just like what you did with others. Now I can't even consider you as my bestfriend, nor as a friend." I said, running away from him.
Vernon's POV
Why did I have to be a player? Now I've lost her, the most important girl in my life. "Please don't leave me." I said. "No. You've done enough. To me and to other girls." She said. Shit. I knew I messed up bigtime. A mistake that made me lose an important part of my life and body, my heart.
