The room was shrouded in darkness, the only source of light emanating from a single light bulb on a cluttered desk. The air hung heavy with anticipation as a hooded figure paced back and forth, his impatience evident. In the corner, a tall and handsome man leaned casually against the wall, his jacket partially unzipped, revealing a glimpse of his sculpted abs.

"What's taking "him" so long?" the hooded figure growled, his voice laced with frustration. "We can't afford to waste any more time."

The handsome man pushed himself off the wall, a playful grin spreading across his face. "Now, now, Bubs..." he chimed in, his voice dripping with mischief. "You just woke up recently, so I get why you're impatient. If you want, I don't mind playing with you~"

A man with pale white skin and hair, his expression contorted with disgust, couldn't help but interject. "At least hold back your disgusting urges, even if only while I'm around." he muttered, his voice filled with disdain.

The handsome man turned his attention to the pale man, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Are you jealous?" he teased, his voice taking on a seductive tone. "Don't worry, I can play with you too."

A blonde woman, her arms crossed and frustration etched across her face, sighed deeply. "If I knew I'd be teamed up with people like you, I would've stayed locked away at 'that place.'"

As she spoke, the hooded figure's eyes glowed a menacing red, his voice filled with a dark, chilling tone. "Should I put you down straight to hell then?" he asked, as black energy materialized from his hand, swirling ominously.

Unfazed by the threat, the blonde woman scoffed, her own dark aura enveloping her. "If you want to be put into eternal slumber just when you wake up, then go ahead, let me see you try."

Suddenly, the tension in the room was broken as a boy burst into the office, his expression one of terror. The hooded figure turned his gaze towards the boy, his eyes narrowing in irritation. "What took you so long?" he demanded, his voice laced with impatience.

The boy, Mamoru Jinguji stuttered nervously as he explained, "I-I just received news that Dumon, Mizael, and Vector are in critical condition. They're being taken care of, but it doesn't look good."

The hooded figure's face twisted with concern. He took a step closer to Mamoru, his voice low and commanding. "Tell me, who is responsible for this?" he asked, his tone filled with a mix of curiosity and anger.

Mamoru hesitated for a moment, glancing down at the floor before gathering his courage to respond. "It was the aftermath of their duel against a single boy, his name is Ren Hitorigoto." he replied, his voice quivering. He quickly pulled out a file from his backpack and handed it to the hooded figure. "Here, this is all the information we have on him."

The hooded figure took the file and began to flip through its contents, his eyes scanning the pages intently. As he reached a particular photograph, his eyes narrowed in recognition. With a quick glance, he passed the file to the handsome man standing nearby.

The handsome man's eyes widened in glee as he recognized the photo. "Ah, so this is the little troublemaker," he chuckled, his voice dripping with amusement. "He's certainly made quite a name for himself."

The hooded figure's expression turned serious as he absorbed the information. "If that kid has indeed shown up, then we need to act fast," he said.

The room fell into a brief silence as the weight of the situation settled upon them. Mamoru Jinguji, his hands trembling, looked at the hooded figure with a mix of concern and fear. "So, what's the plan, sir?" he asked, his voice filled with urgency.

The hooded figure raised from his seat. "We cannot waste any more time," he declared, his voice steady and commanding. "If that kid has resurfaced, then it means they'll also be looking for the Legendary Numbers soon. We must find and collect those before they do as they will serve as our key to finding the Numeron Code."

The pale man standing near the door spoke. "I'll go to the castle ruins." he spoke briefly. Without uttering anything, he turned on his heels and disappeared into the shadows, his steps soundless as he embarked on his mission.

The man in the black jacket let out a hearty laugh, his confidence unwavering. "Well, well, looks like we're in for some excitement," he remarked, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I can't wait to have a little reunion with our old friend Sandy."

The hooded figure's face hardened, his eyes narrowing with intensity. "This is not a time for jokes, you serpent." he retorted sharply. "If my memory serves me right, "that man" is still at that research lab. I will make sure to pay him a visit and settle our unfinished business once and for all."

The handsome man's laughter subsided, but a sly smile played at the corners of his lips. "Still a sore loser about that huh?" he teased, seemingly undeterred by the hooded figure's seriousness.

Ignoring the jibe, the hooded figure started making his way toward the exit. "Olivia." he called out to the blonde woman, "stay here and intercept the singularity and his friends. We can't afford to let them interfere."

Olivia shrugged casually. "Whatever," she replied with a dismissive wave of her hand. "I'll handle them. No worries."

With that, the hooded figure left the room, his cape billowing behind him as he vanished into the shadows. Each member of the group, the Barian Cult with their individual tasks, prepared to face the challenges ahead, fully aware that their destinies were entwined with the search for the Legendary Numbers and the Numeron Code.

Word Count: 953 (A/N not included)

Yeah, just as a bonus I decided to publish the prelude of the new Arc.

This Arc will probably be the longest Arc of this fanfic since it will show more about Ren's backstory and his origins, as well as the appearance of new OC characters. Not only that but also the other elements I added in the world building.

Thanks for reading, Ya Local Neet out.
