CHAPTER 4

DIAMOND'S POV

I can't believe I said yes to Dante. I've never been on a date because I'm always busy with work and my sister. He texted me early today to say that he will pick me up at 8pm. I asked him if I should send my address, but he said that he already know where I live. Suspicious. I will ask him tonight.

"Cindy" I called my bestfriend. We are busy at the counter making americano's for her customers. Their ordered 5 and I'm helping her with it. "Yes" she answered. I fiddle with my fingers because I'm nervous about tonight. "Do you mind watching my little sister tonight? I'm going on a date and there is no one to watch her" I said. She looked at me with wide eye. " WHAAAAAAT" she screamed. "With who ? You never even kissed or went on a date" she asked. Yeah, I know that Cindy I said in my mind and roll my eyes. "You know that two guys that were here 2 days ago? The one with the gray eyes asked me on a date. He's name is Dante" I said. "Of course I will look after her. But Diamond, just be careful okay. We don't know if the rumors are true about him being in the Mafia" she said. " Yeah I know". "Okay. And I'm coming over after work so that we can get you dress" she said smiling widely. She is more excited than me.

6 hour later

"I think you should go with this dress" Cindy said. It's a off should, long black dress with a slit on my right leg. It's a beautiful dress for the dinner. Dante just said that I should dress fancy because he is taking me to dinner. " okay it's nice and I like it". I got dress and put on silver hills with a black bag to match my outfit. I don't do make up so I just put on red lipstick. " you look pretty sissy" said Maya. "Thank you my my love" I gave her a hug and kiss. "DIIIAAAAAMOOOOND" hell Cindy from the door. "Your date is here". " listen to Cindy and go to bed early okay. Sissy will be back later" I told Maya.

When I got to the door Dante was standing there with roses with a nervous smile on his face. So, I'm not the only one who is nervous. "This is for you" he said. I took the flowers from him and smell it. "Thank you, it smells nice" I told him. I gave the flowers to Cindy and said "shall we go". He nodded and let me leave first. "Goodbye sissy" I hear Maya said. I turned around and saw Dante looking at her with a expression that I couldn't read. "This is my sister Maya and Maya this is Dante. He is my friend" I said to Maya. "HALLO Dante. You look hadsome" me and Cindy laughed of how she said the word handsome. Dante just gave a small smile and nod. We said our goodbyes and left.

DANTE'S POV

I was so nervous in the car while we are driving to the restaurant. I looked at Diamond and she is busy playing with her fingers. "You look beautiful tonight" I said. She gave me a small smile and murmured "thank you". When we got to the restaurant I put my hand at her small back and saw how she blushed at my action. I smirked. "Good evening Mr Sanchez. Your table is ready. Follow me" the manager said. When we sit down I ordered a bottle of wine for us and told the waiter to give us a moment before we order. I saw how Diamond was looking at the restaurant in wonder. "DO you look like it " I asked. "Yes I love it, its beautiful" she said. It's mind I said. "Figured that much since the manager know you" she said and I laugh. The waiter came back and we order. We made small talk, got to know each other and laugh while we ate. The awkwardness left the table and it was just the two of us. She is such an amazing person and my mother and sister will love you. I can see how much see loves her sister because she always talks about her. "Can I ask you a question" she asked. "Yes go ahead" I said. "Why did you look at my sister like that ? Like you don't like kids" and I freezed. "I_ uhmm I-I" fuck I've never stuttered before. " it's not that I don't like her. I just don't want kids ever in my life. And I don't know how to behave around them" I said. "So you never want kids" she asked. "No never" I said. She just gave me a nod and looked around. I don't want kids, because in the Mafia your kid can be leverage and people can use it against you. I can't put my kids in that kind of danger.

After that silence we begin to make small talk again and she was smiling. Thank fuck ! I really enjoyed our evening and would like to see her again. On our way home we listened to silent music and just enjoyed the comfortable silence. When we got to her apartment I walked her to the door and she opens the door. "Thank you for tonight Dante I really enjoyed my first date" she said. I already know that because I did a background check. I smiled and said "it was my pleasure. And I hope I can take you on another one" I said. She blushes and said "sure". I gave her a kiss on her cheek and said my goodbyes.
That night I was sleeping with a smile on my face. All the thanks to my Diamond.
