I really should get going now, i have so much to do tomorrow if i stay here longer i know that job hunting i have planned will turn in to me postponing it again and i really need a job! God Y/N you have time, i'm sure you will find something soon. Y/N is spending the evening with her friend, Lee Hyo-Ri, watching movies and talking like friends usually do. Ever since you moved to South Korea 2 years ago, she has been your biggest help, making sure you knew your way around the city of Seoul and even helping you getting an apartment. The apartment wasn't big but big enough for 1 person and it was affordable. Living in Seoul is not cheap so you gladly accepted the place for that price. You made the choice to move because your home country never made you feel at home, so you made the decision to start over in a completely different country and South Korea was on the top of your list. So when the opportunity came to move here you didn't think twice and took the opportunity as fast as you could. You saved enough money to pay for all of your expenses and even found a job that you could start at right away when you arrived here. You researched everything about the country and studied hard to learn the language which you could now read, write and speak fluently. So when the day arrived that it was time for you to move, you were the happiest person alive. You waited last minute to tell people in your home town that you were leaving in case anyone tried to convince you not to go, not that they would succeed but you didn't want to explain why you made that choice. Most people wished you luck and didn't seem to care much, obviously promising that they would come and see you 1 day but you knew that was a lie. You didn't have any family left so for who did you need to stay? Your parents died when you were young due to a terrible accident and you were raised by your grandmother, who unfortunately also passed away 5 years ago.  She fell very ill 1 day and never recovered, you hoped and prayed for her to get better but you knew you had to say goodbye to her though you were not ready to let her go. Her last words to you were follow your heart and that is exactly what you did. It wasn't always easy but you knew everything would be alright and all the trouble would be worth it in the end. Just like the place you worked at when you first arrived here, you had so much fun working in the small convenience store. You met a lot of people and befriended the owner, you didn't earn much but i was enough to pay your bills and to survive. The year and a half you worked there went by so fast, but then 1 morning your phone rang and you saw it was the owner, an older man by the name of Choi Sang-Hoon. When you answered the phone you could immediately tell something was wrong, the old man could hardly speak and cried uncontrollably. Y/N, oh Y/N it's awful, everything is gone, completely destroyed, it took you a moment to realize he was talking about the store and once you realized you dropped to your knees. It turned out a short circuit had occurred in 1 of the freezers and it caused a massive fire destroying everything in the store. What the old man had build up was gone in the blink of an eye, and that hurt you the most. People were very generous and donated to him so he would be able to start over, but even months after that he wasn't the same person as before. So with that, obviously you were unemployed now and were looking for a new job but there was no succes yet. You send out your resume to several companies but you haven't heard anything back, the functions were manager, secretary and you even approached schools to become an English teacher but so far no luck.

I have time you say, i have been looking for almost 4 months now and my savings are about to dry up too it's so frustrating. I know it is, Hyo-Ri says, do you want me to ask my boss again if there is a position somewhere? No, you already asked him 3 times so i'm sure nothing has changed in that time. Well i will ask him anyway, just to be sure, he's a busy man too he might have forgotten that i asked she replies. I appreciate it, i'll just send out my resume again to some companies tomorrow and visit a few stores to see if they can use a helping hand, you smile softly but deep down you're starting to lose hope in finding a job in time. Hyo-Ri notices and says hey, it's going to be alright you'll find something, i know you will. You smile at her, she always knows how to reassure you, what would i do without you you say. That's what friends are for and she smiles back at you. Well i better get going now, it's getting late and i really want to get things done tomorrow, you get up to pack your things and make your way home. Hyo-Ri walks you to the door and before you step out she gives you a big hug, let me know if you find anything ok? I will you say and hug her back, you walk out and make your way home. It's a very short walk from her place to yours so usually you will be home in under 15 minutes. It's a pretty quiet night, during the day the city is always alive, but this part of the city is mostly quiet in the evenings. You do notice the moon on this night, it's so bright that it almost lights up the street that you are walking on, it had been a bit rainy today to the light shimmers on the wet stones. You giggle to yourself, this would be quite romantic to be walking under this moon with a man. But you didn't have a man, it wasn't like you didn't get any offers but you were simply not interested, you wanted to make sure that your life was steady and a man would only distract you right now. You're lost in your thoughts and before you know it you reach the street where your apartment building is located, you're about to turn right to walk in to the street when you hear several voices of people. They sound like men, a group of men but you don't think much of it, it's not the first time you came across a group of people at night, though for some reason it does feel off. You can't hear everything they say but it sounded like, 'didn't i warn you?' 'i told you to keep your end of the deal'. Once you make the right turn you see them, 7 men dressed in suits standing over a man that is laying on the wet street and you stop in your tracks, you can't tell for sure but it appears that his face is bleeding, he tries to get up but when he's on his hands and knees 1 of the men knocks him back down with a massive blow on his back, he moans in pain. The sight of this makes you gasp and the sound of you gasping didn't go unnoticed, 1 of the men turns his face towards you and looks you dead in the eyes. He's wearing a black leather jacket that reaches his hip and a black and white suit, his hair is black and slightly combed back. Without hesitation he moves towards you taking big steps, a cigarette is dancing on his lips as he walks. You're completely frozen and don't know if you should run or scream, but before you could do either the man had already pinned you against a wall with his hand around your throat. He throws his cigarette on the ground and grunts. You drop your bag in fear and reach for his wrist with both hands trying to pull his hand away from you but he is to strong. You're to scared to look at him so you closed your eyes, but you can feel his breath on your face, smelling the cigarette that he just threw away. Who are you he says in a deep emotionless voice. You try to speak but the hand on your throat is squeezing so tightly that it's hard for you to get the words out. I asked you a fucking question, who are you? I...I... you try with all your might to talk, i... i live in that building there and you point towards your apartment building. The hand on your throat loosens but doesn't let go, in a reaction to the hand loosening you open your eyes and look straight at the man that is holding you. He has a big scar over his right eye, and his eyes are as dark as his voice. I wont tell anyone i swear but please don't hurt me, please, you say with tears filling your eyes. If someone does ask me about this i know who to be looking for he says, and you will be easy to find he says while looking you up and down. You're starting to shake in fear and he notices, he let's go of your throat and you gasp for air holding on to the wall behind you. 1 of the other men is making his way towards you too, and he asks the man with the scar, what are we going to do with this 1? The man looks at you, what should we do with you he says with a smirk on his face. Please you say, can i please just go home, i don't want any trouble and i promise i will not tell a soul. The man smirks again, take care of him there JK and he points at the man that is still laying on the ground, we will let the young lady go home for now. The man called JK nods and walks back to the others who are holding the man in place. But before you can walk away he grabs your arm and pins you back against the wall, he grinds his teeth and says, if i find out you spoke of this with anyone i will promise you that i will find you. And since i'm letting you live, remember that you owe me now so i'm pretty sure we will see each other again very soon. The man lets go of your arm and you pick up your bag off the ground and make a run for it, the door to your apartment building felt so far away but you didn't dare to look back to see if any of those men followed you. You can still hear their voices, and as quickly as you can you try to find your keys, with your hands still shaking you try to open the door. Once you open the door you run up the stairs to make it to your apartment, when you're finally inside you close all the curtains but refuse to turn on any lights, you sit there in the dark trying to process everything that just happend and you start to cry. Who the hell were those men, what the fuck just happend. That poor man on the ground, he doesn't stand a chance against 7 people and what the hell did he mean with 'you owe me' i don't want anything to do with him my god Y/N what kind of a mess are you in now. You try to calm yourself by saying you are alright and got home safely, that's all that matters, i'm home and i'm safe now. You're debating whether or not to call Hyo-Ri and tell her what happend, but you're to scared, what if he does find out that i told someone, what will happen to me then? You throw your phone to the side and drop your face in your hands, goddammit you whisper, still shaking you decide to get up and peek out the window to see if those men are still there, you slightly move the curtain to the side to look but you don't see anyone, not even the man that was laying on the ground. You sigh and look at the clock that is hanging on the wall in front of you, 3 am.... i really should try to get some sleep i don't know if i can but i should at least try. You make your way to your bedroom, the apartment is a 1 bedroom apartment so it's nice and cozy, your bedroom is your safe place, though the bed is to big for the room and you hardly have any space left to walk, but you like it the way it is. You get undressed and change in to a simple t-shirt and hide under the covers, you sigh once more, just my fucking luck you think to yourself, before you drift off to sleep.
