Staying at the clubhouse was interesting for Elizabeth to say the least. She had never seen so many bikers before in her life. Tig had introduced her to all of his guys, and she got along with them fairly well. She slept in Tig's bedroom while he took the floor.
"My mom would kill me if she knew I had spent the night in a place where I knew no one and it was with a bunch of bikers," She spoke as they were sitting at the bar together.
"Oh you still listen to mommy?" Tig asked, laughing as he downed some more beer.
"You're so funny and an alcoholic obviously," she said pointing towards the now empty beer in front of him.
"Oh baby, I function better drunk then I do sober. You'll figure that out soon enough. You headed to your hotel?" He asked.
She nodded as he walked with her out to her truck. "What are you doing here any way?" He asked referring to last night when she had told him she had come all of the way from Washington.
"Why are you so damn nosy?" She asked, hoisting herself up in her truck before laughing.
"I think I should know. I have a feeling you're gonna be some trouble," he told her winking.
"I may tell you at some point," she said before shrugging and driving off.
Tig shook his head before heading back to the garage with the last thing on his mind being the engines he was working on.
=====================
After checking into the hotel, Liz went to sit at the park. She didn't know where she would go from here. Pulling the picture she carried in her pocket out, she looked at the man and the little girl in it. The two people she wanted to know so much about, but didn't know where to start. The picture was of her dad and little sister, both of which she had never gotten to meet. They were also both the reason she was in Charming, California. She needed to meet them and know them. That's part of the reason her mom was so apprehensive of her coming here. Her parents split was nasty from what she heard. Her dad left while her mom was pregnant with her. He said they were both too young to have a child, and that she should just get rid of it, but her mom decided to keep it.She was lost in thought when her phone rang. Seeing who it was, she answered quickly.
"Hey ma," she greeted.
"Hey baby. How's the trip?" She asked.
"It's been uneventful. You'll be glad to know I haven't went digging about anything yet," she told her mother which earned her a sigh.
"I just don't want you finding out things you may not want to know. I'm trying to protect you," she told her.
"I know ma. I've gotta go. I love you."
"I love you too baby, so much," she said as they hung up.
