The Children (Sanscest)

Chapter 1 - Where are we?

Cherry had always respected his farther though he knew his father was no perfect men. Red would tell him when he'd go out for drinking, when he'd be back usually, and always leave money for him and a number in case he didn't come home.

That's why it was strange when his father didn't pick up the one and had been missing for 2 days. His father had only went out to watch the game with his friend Sci. The bar said they left together before closing a day ago. But not even Sci was picking up.

Cherry came from school and still didn't find him so he called the two people who might've known where he was.

Now cherry grabs his jacket, keys, and puts on his shoes. He'll just have to look for him himself. And if he can't he'll go to the police station and fill out a report.

Cherry opens the door and see something that makes him pause in his place. His heart running with with emotions; anger, sadness, confusion, and hurt.

His mother was standing there before him. Why did she come here, she left them before. Why did she come back???

She smiles at him with loving eyes. "Cherry you've gotten so big."

"Why are you here."

"I came to surprise you and Red, is he home?"

"Eh no, he's at work."

His mom stared him in his eyes. The foreign gaze not able to look into his soul as she hasn't become familiar with it. But as far as mothers go, they always seem to know.

"He's not at work is he?" Pity seems to sound in her voice.

Cherry closes the door after walking out and locks the door. "He's at work. Come back later."

She puts a hand on his shoulder, "Honey-

"Blue. Why are you really home?"

"I came to take you, honey I'm going to fight for you. And I also want you to meet your younger brother."

"What? Since when do I have a younger brother?"

"Did your dad not tell you? I had him almost 7 years ago."

"Knowing you, you probably didn't even tell him."

"Honey you don't hardly know you father as well as you think."

"I hardly know you, you're the stranger who left 10 years ago."

Blue looked at her son more pitifully now. She knows she probably deserves this, she hasn't seen him for almost 7 years. Huh maybe she should get her youngest child tested. Now she really needed to speak to Red.

"I'll be back in a few hours." Cherry says as he storms off.

Blue watches as her old soul walks off hating her. She never regretted anything more then leaving him with red.

Cherry checks his phone as he walks on the sidewalk. He had Sci's address somewhere in his phone. A familiar voice rings ahead of him and he tears his gaze from his phone to it.

"Come on..."

Cherry put out a hand and places it on their arm making the other falter.

"Oh Cherry hey!" The usually cheerful yellow clad boy said.

"What's wrong Palette?"

Palette gave a small smile that was obviously fake. His eyes look a little red so he's probably been crying.

"It's nothing, I've just had so much to do."

Cherry crosses his arms, "Like that's true. Come on Pal."

"My parents are missing and I can't contact them!" His eyes starting to cloud with fresh tears.

"Yeah my dad's missing too. Both him and his friend."

"Really? Maybe we should call the police. How long have they been gone?"

"2 days. Need to find my dad soon because mom is trying to take ownership over me."

"My parents went to the store yesterday and didn't come home last night."

Cherry sighs, if others are missing too this is getting more serious.

Cherry pats Palette's shoulder. It's the most he'll do, he doesn't like touching people to much.

"Is anyone else missing?"

"I...I think my uncle is also missing. I tried calling him after I found out my parents were missing."

"Where does he live, we can go check the place ourselves."

Palette nods then takes Cherry's hand and leads him to his uncles house. Cherry is such a sweet guy, maybe he could find a guy like him as a partner.

Cherry doesn't hate the hand holding, and he's known the kid long enough to have a tolerance to it.

Someone answers the door and cherry can't help but stare.

This earns a glare from the person who answered it. "Why are you here."

Palette comes out from behind Cherry and hugs the stranger.

"Cousin Crescent hi!"

Crescent looks at Palette and hugs him back quickly before looking at Cherry.

"Who's the stranger."

Cherry nods a hello, "I'm Cherry Fell."

"Has you dad showed up yet?"

Crescent takes his gaze off of Cherry giving it to the smaller of the three.

"No he hasn't shown up, we haven't even got a text from him."

"My dad and Pal's parents are missing too." This guy gives off something dark. How can he be related to Palette, the kid glows off happiness.

"What do you think we can do about it?"

"We let's go to the police station and fill out some reports. This makes 4 people who are missing so they won't just throw it off saying it's nothing."

Crescent narrows his eyes at Cherry before going back inside. Pal goes in so Cherry follows.

Cherry gasps, the place is huge, and beautiful. Outside it looks small but in the inside it looks like a condo. Did Pal's family come from some royalty or something? Maybe Cherry should visit Pal's place once.

Crescent comes downstairs with a jacket on now. "Get out."

"Crescent is your brothers not here?"

"They are, so let's make this trip fast."

Cherry's eyes caught a family picture in the middle of the living room. It had the family in a formal black tie. There was an older gentleman who sits in a chair with a 8 year old on his lap. A woman stands behind them wearing an odd orange and black necklace. A 18 year old girl wearing a golden necklace standing by the lady. Then a 16 year old boy standing on the other side of the man. A 14 year old boy by the 16 year old. They all seem to share a gaze that makes Cherry shiver. No one in the picture smiling, all looking at the camera with a serious business look.

The picture must've been old, the 16 year old looks like Crescent but it's obvious that he isn't 16 anymore.

Cherry gets pushed out of the house with Palette by Crescent.

"You've got a nice house bud."

"Yeah yeah, let's just get this done."

The start walking to the Station and Cherry notices something strange. Pj, a friend of his was walking to an alley way. Cherry sped up his pace so he could see what his friend was doing in the alleyway. He saw a crack in a building side form as Pj got closer to it. The crack seemed to glow as it got bigger and Pj went through. Cherry ran into the alley and studied the crack quickly before going in. Other footsteps were heard following behind him.
