The Children (Sanscest)

Chapter 4 - Gameplan

Cherry walk around the castle once more. A solid 2 days now. And going off of what mom says, 6 days since he's been home.

Cherry was going to ask Pj where the kitchen is but he couldn't even find that kid.

The smell of bacon hits his nose and he runs after it. He sees a table full of bacon, eggs, pancakes, waffles, fruit, biscuits and gravy, and other breakfast foods. Cherry looks for a plate and when he can't he just starts grabbing stuff and eating it.

He hears another person come in but he doesn't want to look away from the food, fearing it'll disappear.

"I didn't say you could eat."

The voice sounded demanding and harsh. Cherry turns to look at the owner of the voice as he eats another pancake.

A guy wearing an old blue hoodie stained with blood and tears in it stands there with another plate of bacon.

The guy looks like he could eat Cherry if he chose to.

The guy moves to the table and puts the plate down. He smells like rotten food.

"Please tell me you're a freeloader, I've been dying to eat." Cherry took a step back, not needing the stranger to say more.

"I-I'm with Pj."

This gains a tilt of the head from the cannibal. He can feel the guy size him up then puts a hand out. His hands surprising not matching his clothes, bloody and torn out.

"I didn't know Pj had a partner, I'm Økse."

Cherry's face heated up and he motioned that no he wasn't. "I just mean he brought us here and if you kill us you'll be missing with him too."

Økse's one eyelight seems to scan him again. "In that case a small bite won't hurt."

Cherry grabs some bacon then runs off, he doesn't hear any footsteps behind him so when he's a safe distance away he stops.

He sits on a chair in the hallway and eats the bacon he saved. Was that the cook for the castle? How come he hasn't seen him around or at least smelt the food.

A crack opens and out comes two people. A strange kid in a lab coat wearing even stranger boots, then Pj.

"So Stärke won't be able to make it. That'll make the plan harder but I don't want to waste more time then we have."

Cherry catches the scientists eye making him pause. "Is this one of the Prince's kids?"

Pj looks at Cherry, "No, this is Blue and Red's."

Cherry gets up, "I'm Cherry, who's the scientist?"

"This is Deneb, he's a technically Science's kid."

The scientist seems to ease as Pj shows that Cherry isn't a threat. The guy doesn't have a strong feel to him but he does seem like he could beat Deneb up if he wanted too.

"If your hungry you can come with us, I had someone come over for a meeting and they make the best foods.

"His name doesn't happen to be Økse is it?"

"Yeah, I'm guessing by that you've already met."

"We're best friends now, the guy said he'd just take a bite of me and not eat me whole."

"At least your walking and talking. You can tell the others that there's food. They'll get to meet some new people too."

Cherry puts his hands in his pockets,"I'll get them, but if I walk into that room and he's trying to eat me again you better bury me with my dad."
