"What!"
Radier tilts his head. "You don't remember anything?"
Paperjam struggles to get out of the blankets that are trapping him in bed.
"I remember me and Crescent starting to spar, I got a feeling he was holding back so I tried teasing him. When I finally got him to use his tentacles, that's when things start to get fuzzy. I think I recall seeing Cherry and Palette in the stands, I might've said something but I don't know, then I saw Crescent coming at me."
"After you got knocked out the lock waivered and Bill took over Palette. He was about to kill him before I stepped in. With that said I had my magic search for any reminiscent of Bill's power here. There isn't any here but thanks to the waiver Bill knows where we are."
Paperjam stands up after winning against his blankets, "Have Deneb get here with the device, and make sure he is himself. Oh, and how did the results go?"
"The device worked well, it didn't blow up. We would've got here sooner but Økse chose to kill some monsters. He killed one from the other realm and nearly got himself killed in the process. By time I got to him Bill had everyone on high alert. Needless to say that it'll be harder to get in now."
"I'll be sure to thank him for that later."
Paperjam grabs Radiers hand and an ink print stains into his bone.
"In case I black out again just give me a good slap on the back. Not black out but if I start acting weird. That ink should set me stable."
Radier looks at the little circle ink print in the palm of his hand.
"I need to see how Crescent is."
"I'll go get Deneb."
Paperjam nods then walks out of the room.
Paperjam wonders what made him lose himself. He's only lost memories once before this.
Paperjam can still hear his brother crying as Error yells for Ink to get the white vial.
Paperjam grips his hands. They were so desperate to stop him they tried to give him the vial that made Ink emotionless.
Paperjam should've gave Radier the vial, it doesn't make him emotionless but it does slow down his magic and himself. That little moment of weakness allowed Error to take his soul and for Ink to trap it in ink until he came too.
He had harmed both parents and his brother. Graident was 4 then so he doesn't remember but it scares Pj not knowing how he lost himself and hurt the people he loved.
Crescent turns a corner and runs into Pj.
Pj stops walking, as does Crescent.
"Tell me what happened."
Crescent stares into Pj's eyes. He felt that negativity again so he came to see if Pj was crazy again.
After a few hours of being awake his memories came flooding back to him. He remember battling with Pj, Pj saying that they should stop and resume it later, Crescent yelling for them to keep fighting, Pj trying to leave only for Crescent to grab him by the neck pointing a knife over his soul. That's when things turned for the worse. Pj's skull turned into spikes that stabbed Crescent.
Crescent tried to move but then Pj melted and appeared behind him trying to stab him with ink spikes.
Crescent dodged last minute and when he finally got a good look at Pj he saw his eyelights change to black Xs with error signs in front of them. Negative energy seemed to run through his bones but not in the normal way, in a way that told Crescent that he wasn't going to die. Pj wouldn't die. The anger of a threat that was threatening him, the sadness of the thought of letting himself die, the determination inside him. He. Would. Not. Die.
