Chapter 8 - Attack and Recover

"Why are we doing this now?"

Radier and Pj share a knowing look.

"Palette don't you feel it?"

"Radier he's still new, he doesn't know what the feeling is."

Palette looks at them like a they are speaking a foreign language.

"Palette the Lord has awaken. We have to save them now, the hope of him being back will encourage others to do the same."

Palette nods acting like he understands.

"I told Crescent the plan and he's ready, Cherry too. Deneb is with Økse and they'll be at the entrance at any second now. Geist said he'd be showing up too, joining Økse and Deneb."

Pj nods, "I'll meet you on the inside."

Paperjam takes Palette's arm and the two melt into the ground.

"What kind of powers does the scientist have?"

"Not a clue, I don't even think he has powers."

"Then why would he be coming with us if he can't save himself?" Cherry looks at Crescent curiously.

Crescent scoffs, "Like I have all the answers, I've been here for as long as you."

Cherry looks around, Radier had brought them to the top of the pyramid, the one with the Lord in it. Radier left saying he'd be back but he still isn't.

"What do you think the Lord is like?"

Crescent has a tentacle wrapped around Cherry's leg; although it isn't needed to keep him up.

"He's a Lord, he'll probably be snooty."

"Do you feel that?"

Crescent doesn't need Cherry to expand on his statement. If Crescent had a different personality he wouldn't be able to use the hate concentrated tentacles.

It's hard to feel any negativity here, everyone is set on their goals not allowing any stammering to stop them.

Crescent's own thoughts are barely strong enough to keep it stable. Magic feels cut off up here.

"What about you?"

Cherry puts a hand over his soul, "I doubt I'll be able to use any up here. The force against it is strong."

Radier appears with a device as he lays a claw on part of the top pyramid having it stick there allowing him to be stable. "We can start now."

Radier types away at the device while Crescent and Cherry share a look of confusion.

There's a large explosion in front of the pyramid and it lights the place with colorful stars.

Cherry clenches his grip on the pyramid side, "What in Asgore's name!?"

"Deneb must've blew something up." Radier says not pulling his attention from the device.

"Since when do explosions have stars?" Crescent asks.

"Deneb has some powers from Outertale, his soul is part Outer and he must've put some magic from it into a device. And that device must've
exploded causing the stars."

"How long have you known Deneb and Pj?" Cherry looks at Radier curiously.

"I've always known of them, but I never put myself in their path. Although I have gone to Deneb for some things but Pj I've left alone unless there was a meeting calling for me to join him."

"How long will the device take?"

"We should've already been in there so it seems I'm guessing now. Cherry you can go down and add to the chaos."
