Muichiro woke up the daylight blazing through his curtains. It was almost like Kyojuro was outside his window. He groaned and got up out of bed.
He went to the wardrobe that was placed on the right-hand side of the room and opened it, hoping to find his uniform in there. He felt disappointed when all he saw were yukatas and the same butterfly mansion uniform. He knew he needed to find his uniform. After all, today was a big day for him.
He looked at the clock beside the bed. 7:30am. Right. The Hashira meetings don't usually start until 9:00 a.m., so he still has time to look around for his uniform.
Just then, a familiar face popped into the room.
"Good morning, Mui!"
"Good morning, Shinobu."
"If you're looking for your uniform, it's right here."
Shinobu walked into the room and placed Muichiro's uniform onto the bed, nearly folded with a lovely scent coming from it.
"Ah. Sorry I took your uniform without telling you. It had gotten a little bit dirty from your last mission."
"It's okay..."
The mention of his last mission made Muichiro feel an unusual sadness within him.
"The Kakushi are preparing some dorayaki for you. It should be done soon."
Shinobu was met with silence.
"Are you still worried about the trial?"
"... kind of."
"It's okay to be worried, Mui. You've never really argued against the Hashira before, so I completely understand. Just remember, I'm defending you, and if you struggle to say anything, I can speak for you."
Muichiro felt his lips curl up into a smile.
"Thank you, Shinobu."
"...that is unless they wish 'that' upon you..." Shinobu mumbled quietly, but not quietly enough.
"What was that?"
"Nothing!! At least nothing for you to worry about. Alright then, I'll just leave you to it. Just remember to be at the Corps Headquarters by 9am!"
Muichiro nodded at Shinobu, and she smiled warmly at him. She was about to close the door when she saw someone and started talking to them. From the sounds of it, the other person must be a Kakushi bringing up his breakfast for the morning. As they talked, Muichiro looked back at his uniform and contemplated whether or not he should quickly get changed while the Kakushi was talking to Shinobu or if he should just wait.
After a few seconds of contemplating, Muichiro decided it would be best to wait for the Kakushi to come in and give him breakfast first. After all, the door to his room was open, and Muichiro definitely didn't want the Kakushi to walk in on him getting changed. After about a minute of waiting, Shinobu and the Kakushi were finally done talking, and the Kakushi delivered Muichiro's breakfast.

Once Muichiro had finished his breakfast and put on his uniform, he once again checked the time. It was almost 8 am. Muichiro still had about an hour left to do pretty much whatever he wanted until it was time to make his way to the headquarters. Muichiro was thinking of what else he could possibly do until a thought came to his mind. Maybe he should check on Tanjiro and Nezuko. He imagined that Nezuko must've been really confused by what happened, and he did feel sorry for leaving her like that. Although Shinobu and the Kakushi must be taking good care of her and Tanjiro, he still felt a little worried. He was about to open the door but then stopped.
