Bai Feng Jiu ran.
"Why did His Majesty use a basket of flat peaches to exchange the Pimpon fruit? He clearly knows how eager I am to get the fruit. He knows it! Why did he change it?" Feng Jiu had asked to herself.
She ran blindly without seeing or even caring where she was going.
"Please wait. I specifically came to look for you. I wanted to get the Pimpon fruit near Jieyou Springs as well. So I asked Master for it. Unexpectedly, master asked His Majesty Lian Song to bring a basket of flat peaches to exchange for the Pimpon fruit." Ji Heng explained.
Feng Jiu's legs gave out from under her causing her to collapse onto the cold ground.
"The purpose of my special visit is to let you know that I won't share the Pimpon fruit with you. From now on please keep away from Master." Ji Heng continued.
Feng Jiu choked as loud painful sobs escaped her lips. Her heart clenched painfully in her chest.
"I know after hearing my words, you must be very unhappy. But what I said was for your own good. Master has lived for tens of thousands of years. Its hard for him not to feel lonely. He also loves new and lively things. But he just regards you as a fresh playmate." Ji Heng stated.
Feng Jiu lurched forward as hot liquid suddenly shoved its way up her throat and out of her mouth. Her body convulsing from the force of the action.
"I knew it." Feng Jiu wispered to herself before responding louder to Ji Heng. "I understood this already." She said before running off.
Feng Jiu gasped for air but only got two breaths before another wave of vomiting hit her.
When the hot liquid once again cleared her throat Feng Jiu coughed. Her throat burned and a metallic taste invaded her entire mouth.
Looking down she was faced with a pool of not bile but blood. Dark red blood that almost looked black in the white snow.
Heart blood. Feng Jiu realized as she collapsed on the ground, feeling completely numb.
Why oh why did I have to be so stupid. I wish I had never started loving Doug Hua in the first place. The heart of a nine tailed fox is steadfast and loyal to the end. And my heart has reached the end of what it could endure. Feng Jiu thought as darkness slowly consumed her mind.
In a cave only a few feet away, yet concealed by ancient magic. A demon bound by vines smiled evilly.
"Do not worry child. I understand your helplessness and pain. Let me take it from you." Miao Luo said.
Miao Luo's shadow walked up to the unconscious fox. With an evil grin she threw one of her red ribbons at Feng Jiu with the intention to kill.
However Doug Hua's Tiangang shield jumped in place before it could touch her. Miao Luo's shadow hissed in irritation.
But then she sensed something. Something she thought she might have sensed earlier. A piece of her own qi from within the shield.
A qi that Miao Luo shed the day she was imprisoned. It had sealed itself into an unborn child and should have slowly corrupted them till Maio Luo could take them over and free herself.
However the heart blood of the child was pure and cleansing. Not strong enough to destroy the qi, but powerful enough to keep it sealed within a birthmark.
Heart blood that was now weak from heart break. At least what heart blood isn't a puddle in the snow.
Miao Luo's shadow's evil smile return as she closed her eyes and focused on the qi protected within the Tiangang shield.
