Well, that was unexpected, wasn't it? Now then, shall we continue? Because we're just getting started. It's time for us to meet a few Pokemon Characters. So, leave a review, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
Chapter 2
Welcome to Unova, Ruby
Ruby POV.
Ugh, man. What the heck happened? What was that thing I saw? I groaned as I moved around, I felt as though something was covering me, like, uh, like a blanket. Huh, at least it's comfy. Then, I suddenly felt something on my nose, like a feather duster. After a few seconds, I sneezed and slowly opened my eyes. There, in front of me, was a small light-grey furred chinchilla-like creature with big ears, a long tail and it stood on it's back legs. I just started at before it broke the silence by saying 'Minccino'.

I screamed at this and tried to crawl back, but I ended up falling off of the couch I was on.
POV end.
"Ah, you're awake", said a voice. "For a second there, I thought I might've been too late". Ruby's eyes looked up to see a young woman, possibly in her late 20's, looking at her. She had a head full of brown, wavy hair that reached the base of her neck, blue eyes, she wore a white long sleeved t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up, jeans, white shoes and a red apron around her waist.
"Uh, hello", said Ruby nervously as she sat up. "Uh, who are you?".
"Oh, pardon me, how rude", the woman said. "I'm Veronica, and this little cutie is Minccino, my Pokemon".
"Minccino cino Min" said the little creature.
"Your what-now?" Asked Ruby as she stood up.
"My Pokemon", answered Veronica. "Surely you know what a Pokemon is?".
"Um, no I don't", answered Ruby. "Heck, I don't even know where I am". Veronica then scratched the side of her head in confusion.
"Um, you're in the Unova region", answered Veronica. "Did you hit your head or something?". Ruby was now getting VERY confused and VERY frustrated.
"Look, I don't know what a Pokemon is, I don't know where Unova is", said Ruby. "All I know was that one minute, I was in my home town of Oceanside, then a typhoon came, I got sucked into it, saw a big, black dragon that looked like it had a drill on it's tail and now I'm here". Veronica's eyes widened when Ruby mentioned a dragon.
"Did you say you saw a big, black dragon with what looked like a drill for a tail?" Asked Veronica.
"Yeah" answered Ruby. Veronica then ran over to a bookshelf and pulled out a thick book with brown covers. She then opened it and began flipping through the pages. Eventually, she stopped.
"Was this the dragon you saw?" She asked. Ruby looked at the picture Veronica was pointing to, it WAS what she saw.
"That's it", said Ruby. "THAT'S what I saw". Veronica only stared at her.
"You, are one VERY luck girl" said Veronica. Ruby raised an eyebrow to this.
"Why would I be lucky?" Asked Ruby.
"What you saw, was Zekrom" answered Veronica.
"Who and or what is Zekrom?" Asked Ruby.
"One of two VERY powerful legendary Pokemon that are known through out the Unova region", answered Veronica. "It is said that Zekrom embodies those who want to see their ideals come to form. It's also said that Zekrom can generate electrical storms". Ruby's mouth just hung open, this was A LOT to take in. One moment, she was running home, now, she's told she encountered a legendary dragon.
"I think, I think I need to sit down" said Ruby. She then walked over to the couch, and accidentally sat on the remote. The TV then turned on, and it showed two people fighting with these 'Pokemon'.
"Hey, uh, what are these guys doing?" Asked Ruby. Veronica walked over and saw what Ruby was watching.
"Oh, they're having a Pokemon battle" answered Veronica.
"A what?" Asked Ruby.
"You see, there are people called Pokemon Trainers", answered Veronica. "They travel around catching and evolving Pokemon. When two trainers fight, it's called a Pokemon battle".
"That sounds, kinda awesome" said Ruby, as a smile formed on her face.
"Quick question Ruby", said Veronica. "How old are you?".
"Uh, 15 years old" answered Ruby.
"That's perfect", said Veronica. "You're old enough to become a Pokemon trainer".
"I am?" Asked Ruby.
"Yep", answered Veronica. "The age when you get to become a Pokemon trainer is 10, so you more than fit the bill".
"So, what do I need?" Asked Ruby. Veronica then left the room and came back with some books.
"These books cover basic Pokemon training", said Veronica. "So, I suggest you read these".
"Wow", said Ruby as she looked at the book pile. "Uh, thank you, Veronica". She then sat down and started to read.
"You're welcome", said Veronica. "Now, I'm gonna cook something for us to eat, and I'll let you know when it's done". Veronica then left the room. As she started to cook dinner, she heard the phone ring and picked it up.
"Hello", she said. "Oh, Juniper, nice to hear from you...............Yeah, the girl who I found is fine. She claims to have seen Zekrom.........I know, but she seems so sure. She said that she was sucked into a typhoon and saw it...........stranger things have happened, you of all people know that........also, I think I found the third trainer for you to give a starter too".
