It's time for Ruby's first Gym battle, well, the prologue to it at least. Let's hope Ruby wins this, I for one know what will happen, but will you? Chapter 6
Striaton to the point
Ruby POV.
Okay, so, roll call. I got Oshawott, Patrat and now, Pansear. Seems like a decent line up. Now, I'm gonna challenge the gym leader in Striaton City. I just hope I've got what it takes and, aha, here we are.

As Ruby entered Striaton city, she could see what looked like a school and a restaurant.
"Hmmm, nice place" said Ruby. She saw the sign on the school. It was a Pokemon trainers school.
"A school for Pokemon Trainers?", Ruby wondered. "I better check this out". She opened the door and walked inside. Upon entering, there were several young people with their Pokemon. And she was shocked to see who was in one of the classrooms looking at a chalkboard. It was Cheren. She opened the classroom door and walked in.
"Oh, hey there Cheren" said Ruby. Chere looked away from the board to see her.
"Oh, hi Ruby", said Cheren. "What brings you here?".
"I was thinking of challenging the Gym here" answered Ruby.
"The Gym?" Asked Cheren.
"Yep", answered Ruby. "Found a badge case in my bag and decided to challenge the league".
"Very nice", said Cheren. "How about we get some practice in?".
"Huh?" Asked Ruby. Cheren then held up a Pokeball.
"You. Me. In a Pokemon battle" said Cheren.
"A battle?", asked Ruby. "Well, uh, sure. I can do that".
"Then follow me to the battle field" said Cheren.
"Battle field?" Asked Ruby. Cheren then pointed to one of the windows. Ruby looked out of it. There, outside, was a large chalk drawn arena with a Pokeball drawing in the centre.
"Whoa" said Ruby in awe.
"So, you up for it?" Asked Cheren. Ruby laughed before she smirked.
"Bring it" she responded. The two then walked to the battle field, Ruby was on the right and Cheren was on the left.
"How does a two on two battle sound to you?" Asked Cheren.
"That is fine by me" said Ruby.
"Excellent", said Cheren. "Purrloin! Let's go!". He then threw his Pokeball and out popped a purple and cream cat with green eyes. Ruby then took out her Pokedex.
