Chapter 10 Rescue the Audino

Liam eventually lead Ruby to her Daycare, there a woman in her late 50's/Early 60's greeted them.

"Welcome back", the woman said. "It seems as though you brought a trainer with you".

"Oh, my name's Ruby", said Ruby. "I'm a Pokemon trainer".

"Well, Ruby, I'm Charlotte" the woman answered.

"So, this is your daycare?" Asked Ruby.

"It is indeed", answered Charlotte. "Would you like to see inside?".

"If you wouldn't mind" said Ruby. Charlotte then lead Ruby into her daycare, there, were several incubators with Pokemon eggs inside.

"Whoahoho, are these Pokemon eggs?" Asked Ruby.

"That they are", answered Charlotte. "We got all kinds of eggs here. Flying type, Fighting type, Dragon type, you name it".

"I can only imagine the Pokémon that could hatch from these" said Ruby. They then heard the sound of crying coming from outside.

"The kids" said Charlotte in worry. They ran outside to see a girl crying being comforted by Cheren.

"Cheren, what are you doing here?" Asked Ruby.

"I was following some members of Team Plasma", answered Cheren. "Then, I heard crying and saw that they took away the Audino that works here".

"Why those, ugh, it ticks me off", said Ruby. "Come on, let's go get that Audino back". She then ran off.

"Right behind ya" said Cheren. The two then followed footprints that were left by Team Plasma until they made it to a cave.

"You think they're in here?" Asked Cheren.

"If you were to steal a Pokemon?", asked Ruby. "What would you do after you did the deed?".

"Fair call" answered Cheren.

Ruby and Cheren walked into the cave and saw two members of Team Plasma, guarding a scared Audino.

"Hey, Jerk heads!" Shouted Ruby. She then tossed two rocks at their heads.

"Give that Audino back!" Shouted Cheren.

"You will not interfere with our king's plans" said one of the members.

"If he hates that we do interfere", said Ruby. "Then he come out and say that to our faces".

"You will not go unpunished for that insult" said one of the members. Both of them threw a Pokeball each, sending out two Patrats.

"Care to help me with this, Cheren?" Asked Ruby taking out a Pokeball. Cheren smirked and took out one of his own.

"You don't even need to ask" answered Cheren.

"Pansear, let's get Kraken!" Shouted Ruby tossing her Pokeball.

"Purrloin, let's go!" Shouted Cheren tossing his Pokeball. Both Pokeballs opened up to reveal Pansear and Purrloin.

"Use Bite!" Shouted one of the Team Plasma members.

"Use Tackle!" Shouted the other. Both Patrats then charged towards Pansear and Purrloin.

"Dodge it!" Shouted Ruby and Cheren. Both Pansear and Purrloin jumped out of the way.

"Use Flamethrower!" Shouted Ruby.

"Use scratch!" Shouted Cheren.

Pansear then released a stream of fire from it's mouth at one of the Patrat's, hitting it. Purrloin then extended it's claws and scratched the other Patrat. Both Patrat's fell to the floor, knocked out.

"I highly suggest that you run" said Ruby. Both members recalled their Pokémon and ran off, leaving the Audino behind. Ruby then approached the Audino, who was now shaking in fear.

"Hey, I'm not gonna hurt you" said Ruby, reassuring the Pokemon. Slowly, the Audino walked closer to Ruby.

"See", said Ruby. "There we go, now, let's get you back home". Ruby and Cheren then lead the Audino back to the daycare.

Later on, when they arrived back at the daycare. Bianca and Cheren had already left. Ruby was sitting outside of the daycare, when Charlotte came up to her. She had something in her hands.

"Here, Ruby", said Charlotte. "It's a little thank you gift, from me". In her hands, was a black-brown and Dark-Blue egg.

"A Pokemon egg?" Asked Ruby.

"Yep, quite a rare one too", said Charlotte. "Now, you take care of yourself". Ruby then placed the egg in her bag.

"Thanks so much for the egg", said Ruby before she ran off. "See you around".
