Adam sat back and just stared out of the window.

"Is everything okay Adam?" I asked sitting up on the bed. No response. I put my hand on his shoulder. "Adam?"

He jumped out of his skin when I did this. He must have been in some sort of trance. He just gave his hair a shake and returned back to his bubbly self.

"So, what do you want for dinner then? That pillow fight really gave me an appetite." he said chuckling. "You don't have any dietary requirements do you?"

I shook my head. "I'm not a fussy eater." I said. Trying to hide the fact that I don't enjoy eating. I have a weird relationship with food. I used to suffer with an eating disorder, I am coming out of it however I just don't enjoy eating.

"You have a nap. How does tacos sound?" he asked.

"Tacos sound lovely but I can come down and help. I'm not having you make them on your own. Unless you like making food on your own I don't want you to just wait on me." I replied

"I'm not going to win this one am I. Ahaha. But you are going to have to deal with me waiting on you because I'm going to sit you on the counter and you can keep me company while I cook. Okay." he said in a cute but stern voice. I smiled a little too long.

"Deal I guess." I said holding my hand out for him to shake. He took it in his own and shook my hand.

"Deal." He said turning around, my hand still in his while he led me down stairs into the kitchen. "Come here." he said gesturing to where he was stood. He grabbed me by the waist and lifted me up on to the counter. His hands stayed on my waist for a minute and I tried to stifle a smile. He let go  and handed me an adapter cable. "It'll charge your phone and you can put some music on."

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and plugged it in to the speaker. I scrolled through my playlists. I was considering putting the Moulin Rouge soundtrack on but we had literally just watched it.

"Was that Glee?" he asked. His mouth widened into a smile. I put my head down.

"Yes." I said quietly. "It's my guilty pleasure."

He put his hand under my chin and lifted my head so our eyes met. "What's so guilty about it? I love Glee. It's hilarious." My eyes widened. I absolutely loved Glee and now I had someone to Gleek out with. The song I started with was the Glee cover of Hopelessly Devoted.

"Oh my days. I love this one. Olivia Newton-John would be proud of Darren. He really did that sing justice." he said like an excited little child. As the evening went on, we spoke about Glee and the characters and the story lines.

"These tacos are delicious." I said after we had finished eating.

Adam just blushed. "Thank you. Not my best recipe but it's a nice one."

"Hey don't be so modest. It's really yummy." I replied. He smiled and rubbed the back of his neck. I could tell he was feeling awkward. With that I stood up and picked up the plates.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"The dishes. Don't fight me. You made dinner. I'll clear it up." I snapped back. I carried the plates into the kitchen. He followed behind me like I thought he would anyway. I put the plates next to the sink and started to fill it with water and dish soap.

"Fine. You wash, I'll dry and put away. Considering you have no clue where anything goes." Adam chuckled

"Smart plan." I replied laughing. This time Adam plugged his phone in and put his music on. It was a mixture of artists I love. Cher. Elton John. Panic At The Disco. My Chemical Romance. Glee Cast. Adam Lambert. Queen. And loads of musicals I love. Dear Evan Hansen, Moulin Rouge, Evita. We both just stood doing the dishes and singing. I was fighting every urge in my body to start dancing around. I tried so hard to stand still when Whitney Houston's I wanna dance with somebody came on. Adam grabbed my hands and started dancing with me around the kitchen. It was so fun. I had never felt this happy. Even when I was younger and dancing around to Cher.

"I love this song. I love dancing to this song and the company is incredible." Adam said breathless while we were dancing around like fools.

"Thank you Adam. Thank you for everything. Why are you being so nice to me? You don't even know me." I said sadly.

"I do know you. I know that you are a kindhearted soul who has been dealt a shitty hand. I know you're a man who would always put others first no matter what it cost him. A man with incredible music taste and a smile that could cure cancer. A man who no matter how beaten down life gets him he will always get back up and dust himself off." He said smiling. I couldn't help but blush. "I see something in you Damien. I am an excellent judge of character."

I just looked down at my feet. I didn't know how to react. I just shook my head.

"And I also know that you are a man who hasn't been complimented a lot and will never ever take a compliment but I won't give up." he continued. Very proud of himself because he knew he absolutely hit the nail on the head.

"We should probably get some sleep. It's getting late." I said looking at my watch trying to change the subject. "All the dishes are done now anyway. I just need to wipe the surfaces." I grabbed a dishcloth and wiped down the sides of the sink.

I walked into the living room in order to sleep there. But Adam protested.
