Chapter 9

"It's so clean" Candice gasps as soon as we reach the roof top. "Cuz we cleaned it you big dummy."June flicks her finger at Candice forehead. " Great if you cleaned it. But why are you hitting me." Candice whines rubbing her forehead. "June. Ashleigh. Warm up and practice try matching eachother with your moves. Until I teach Candice the steps." I say with the confidence dancing gives me. I get worked up and Rhys knew it that's why that night he asked me to start dancing again. I push away these thoughts back into the corner of my brain where they belong. " Here goes_ 5, 6, 7, 8." I start dancing as the song is turned on, Moving perfectly with grace. "Candice follow" I instruct and turn on the music again. She dances making mistakes. Mistake. Mistake. Again. That was easy but again mistake. Each mistake irritates me and Mistake. That was the last straw. I pause the song and start scolding her. Candice look carefully again and I mean it LOOK REALLY CAREFULLY if you make the same mistakes and don't reduce their number I'll make you dance until your soles wear out. Ashleigh. June. Join me" Candice gulps as I play the song again. We dance June and Ashleigh co-ordinate they do need some polishing but for starters it's way too good. "Well done girls I'm impressed" I smile at June and Ashleigh. I look at Candice she nods and starts this time. I gather up all my patience and teach her slowly, " Head up, now turn, sit now stand move your hips out a bit yes. That's my girl." I clap my hands and Candice asks for water. After an hour or two of practice Candice reaches the level at which Ashleigh and June are. After complaining the whole time. She's yet not perfect with her expressions, but as her day one at least she learnt the steps. She's a slow learner and can't help it but I'm not going to leave her that easily.
"Two more times, come on girls. Candice stop whining and complaining like a child, plus don't lag behind. Until you learn to cordinate the class will continue."  I speak in a harsh tone and Candice cries, "Amalia come back to us where are you. Your evil twin is bad. Like really bad" She raises her hand up in the sky and I laugh, June and Ashleigh join. "Welcome to the hell. How do you feel after receiving continuous kicks in you ass." June mocks her. Ashleigh walks towards Candice and sits with her, "Amy's strict, super strict when it comes to dance. If you want to escape just do it good. Cordinate." She consoles her rubbing her back. "Ashleigh if I would have known I never would have chosen group dance as an option." Candice cries again. "Take your positions. Here goes nothing. 5, 6, 7, 8."I count and play the song. We dance again better than last time. Candice coordinates properly, gracefully I'm glad. "Wonderful Candice and that's the end of the class today." I speak and swing my water bottle to my lips. "I'm not gonna mess with you from next time." Candice groans and lies down.  "As everyone is so tired and Candice really worked hard. We'll order here and now, my treat" Ashleigh announces and we clap in joy. "Ofcourse we didn't ask her to go on a date yesterday so she had to do her pending task with today's task. Completely her fault" June teases drinking from her sipper. "Don't be a big bully." Candice sits up. "Don't be a whiney cry baby " June mocks. Candice rolls her eyes and lies down again. Candice orders something traditional food from Russia, her favourite, she says. " How much time have you spend in Russia. You are born there or something." Ashleigh asks. "No, no, I'm born in Texas. My family just has a Russian origin that's it." Candice answers filling herself with the food. "The fresher's party seems to be a little extra."Ashleigh questions futher. "Oh of course, to stabilize and ensure team work and coordination, girls with their roomates surely have to drop a performance. The best one makes the four girls go crazy popular which brings them many opportunities. Next the food in the feast, is appetizing and the old students are responsible for organising the event." June replies definitely proud and excited. "Sounds fun" I smile. "It's much more than fun, nearly 10 times more grand than you think. You will see just four more days to go." Candice winks and I nod, " do the boys have to perform too" I ask our of curiosity. "No they don't but they will be around as no boys no fun. How can the events be scandalous without boys." Candice smirks literally inhaling her food and June agrees. Later they inform that this year our of the total students 65% are the oldies and they are the game settlers. The game settlers also called the event planners have to old female students and they have to be the players themselves. I seriously can't wait for it now. I'm excited more than excited.  "Amalia will you eat up or you want me to have your share too." Candice points at my plate. I shake my head and start eating again. After taking the last bite we clean our room. I take a book and climb up to my bed while June and Candice head out.  Ash walks up to her table and sits making some notes while playing her guitar. Candice runs back and calls me out. I sigh but I climb down. They won't let me finish my book I groan in my mind. "Amy I just wanted to say that's for covering me up yesterday. But how did you manage to eradicate the smell." Candice whispers. "The freshner killed the oder" I tell her "If you can't stand it why did you have to take so much of it."
"I just wanted to try I will put myself in limits don't worry "she smiles and heads out.
An hour later Candice reappears and informs us that June had gone to watch the basketball match, then she heads towards her bed and starts napping.
Two hours later June comes back smiling. "He patted my head" she says and jumps happily. "Progress umhmm" Ashleigh teases her and she blushes nodding at her. "Have you dated anyone before" I ask her out of curiosity. "I got a lot of proposals but then also I went for dates with a few guys but none of them worked out or impressed me. So here I'm crushing over majestic Cristoff. He seems so perfect and dreamy. I know Lucas is much more popular but the heart wants what is wants." She winks and walks towards her dresser. "so among the few guys you have gone on a date with, is Lucas one among them." As Ash's words drops on June's ears she stops for a minute and she nods "Twice" she says and pulls out her pajamas, she sighs "I told him to keep this a secret as we share the same set of friends. I told him to keep this a secret until we start to date for real_" my heart aches but June continues, "but he was never good enough so I gave up." June shrugs. I feel bad for him and I manage to say "oh." "Amy you surely aren't dating the fake love song says it all." She questions me. "Oh yes cuz love brings us pain. It isn't as beautiful as people promise it to be " I smile and close my book. "Probably" June mutters and changes into her pajamas. I lie on the bed not being able to sleep. An hour later they wake me up to have dinner with them. It's a home delivery again. I eat it up really quick, I was drowsy so most of the time I nodded as they discussed the costume and the make up. Minutes later we all descend back to our dreams
