Days are rolling down faster now as we are busy in our rehearsals, working with expressions and adding more perfection and grace to each step. Three more days have passed and we are literally hibernating in this building. No basketball matches so, June stays in, Stephen is busy in work so, Candice stays in. Ashleigh and me are love sick so we never go out on our own. Besides the rehearsals really keeps us tired. We warm up after the breakfast, which nowadays is delivered to our room itself, then after warm up we practice for 5hrs taking breaks indeed. Then we have our lunch. Candice and June go out for an hour or two to go fabric and make up shopping. Ashleigh remains busy with her guitar and me with my novels. Sometimes I do my advance studies for future classes. Nic calls us once in a day with all the boys. Lucas is usually around the pool. Stephen at the library where he works. Nic never remains at the same place as he is into photography. I learnt that from Candice and June ofcourse. Ashleigh seems to like him a bit more than we do It's a guess I'm not sure of it though. So, tomorrow is the day, it has finally arrived. Strictly no practicing and no hibernating today. We call the boys and tell them that we are finally coming out and guys have to treat all the meals today. They complain but gradually agree. We dress up in tracks and t-shirts and walk up to Lorenz. The guys haven't arrived yet so June pulls out her sketchbook and puts it infront of us and announces, " this is it. Neither Candice nor I can think better. What do you say. Four girls CAJA white pink, alternate theme has been decided. J and C are wearing pink korean mini skirts and a Korean white shirt long white socks and pink shoes. Where as both the A's have white korean skirts and pink full sleeved tops light pink socks and white shoes. "Hmm can't be any better. Cuz it's perfect" Ash and I blur out. "Cus we spent goru fucking days to decide it" Candice screams."she was so sure that we'll finalise this, that she even told Stephie to get these ready by today and here they come__ " June announces pointing her finger towards the door. Stephen is carrying a shoping bag which he hands over to Candice with a small bouquet of flower. "Nothing for us love bird" June frowns and Stephen smiles, "I was under strict instructions not to ever bring flowers for any one. Except birthday, that's a special case" Candice kisses him before he could finish and hugs him, "you are the best" Stephen smiles and takes his seat. Nic and Lucas join after a couple of minutes." Ready to set the stage on fire girls?" Nic questions. "Yes we are." We practically scream. "Woah. Save some energy girls." Lucas adds with his perfect smile. "Amy you choreographed it right." Nic asks further. "Yeah she did. Can you believe it. I presumed her to be a little lamb but she was going to eat me like a tiger. Literally. She's completely different when it comes bout dance. Super strict and complete perfection needed." Candice sighs. "Totally" Ashleigh and June agree. "So what's your theme then" Nic shoots another question. Stephen opens his mouth but Candice speaks before he could, "wait until tomorrow." Nic frowns, "but you told Stephan already" he points. "Yes duhh. But you are not sweet Stephen so wait until tomorrow." Candice rolls her eyes and takes a sip of her coffee. Nic groans, " I don't want to be him. I can't handle a super irritating red head all the time." He chuckles irritating Candice. "Stut your fucking mouth up, or should I break it up for you." She warns and Nic raises his hands up making all of us laugh. "So Lucas How's your practice going on " I ask. "Better. Much better I've improved alot. June you should stop by the pool sometimes with Amalia and Ashleigh." Lucas eyes lit up as he looks at her. " No I've other things to do" she replies coldly breaking his heart. " We can visit some times with Nic ofcourse." I console him. "Girls it's way too crowded. A horde of girls come to watch Lucas with minimal clothing." Nic elbows him and the waitresses reappears with our order.
After we are full. Lucas drops an idea, "let's go for a drive to the beach what do you say." "We can't rehearsals__ "June says rejecting his offer but I agree speaking up, "I said no rehearsals for today we will just rehearse once with the costume. It can be done later." " Besides June you will love it their" Lucas smiles. I wish he smiles for me some day. I sigh and look towards June. She's literally glaring at me. Nic announces, "so it's decided. Let's meet half an hour later here itself." He rests his arms on me and June. " Girls chill out you had enough rehearsals. You guys will do your best although I can't say with Candice on your team__" he scratches his eyebrow and looks at her and stops talking.
We head out to our dorms and pack an extra pair of clothes and run out giggling. The plan was to meet at Lorenz but the guys pick us up and we hit the road towards the beach. Lucas is wearing a plain white v-neck. Nick wears a gray tshirt and Stephen wears a darker shade of grey with his black jacket ofcourse. All of them look good and cheerful. Lucas turns the music in and plays the evergreen song ~let me love you~ and June rolls her eyes. Next Stephan chooses another evergreen song ~steal my girl ~ and this time nic rolls his eyes it's so fun to observe and the songs go on until we arrive at the beach.
"Here we are" Nic announces cheerfully and we giggle and run towards the sea, while Lucas just sits on the sand. After some time I sigh, gathering up all my courage and walk towards him standing beside him. "Need anything" he asks looking far at the sea. I nod and say "you" he turns to look at me, confused then I clear his confusion as I hold his hand and start pulling him and laughing as they cheer "yes, Any drag him here." He finally ends up in the sea with everyone splashing water on him laughing playing. " Teaming up against me" he laughs and splashes a big wave of water towards me. He looks a hundred times beautiful this way, being playful, laughing just like present. I'm glad that I pulled him here with us.
After we dry up and change into clean clothes. I run on the beach and start collecting sea shells. Nic comes around and taps on my left shoulder only to appear on my right side. "You look so much younger in those just like a little child." He points towards my shorts. "Wait until tomorrow and you will regret saying I look like a kid." I giggle. "I'm waiting for your performance specially yours" he smiles I smile back, " Nic, Do you always a flirt with every girl around you." I whine. "No, not every girl but around some extremely pretty ones like you." He smirks and I laugh. Candice runs shouting towards us, " You put your fucking wet clothes on my dry ones. I'm gonna kill you, Nicholas Dexter." And I tease him, "Someone's in trouble now." "Sorry Candice. I didn't do it on purpose." He explains and gets on his heels and I start laughing harder after a long time. "Why shells" I turn back it's Lucas. "Cuz I like them I answer casually picking up another shell. "Why " he asks again I sigh and run to pick a bigger one, "here" I say and put it close to his ear. I have to stand on my toes to do so. God he's tall. " Magical right" I smile. "Actually it's the wind." He says simply. "Ya but as it passes though the shell. It sounds like this like the sea. calming right." I look at him and he nods smiling " can't argue with that. Let's go. You hungry__" I nod. "There's a beachside festival going on a few steps ahead." I smile and start walking beside him. Peaceful. Shall I really move on just like you said Rhys. "At least try for me" his words echo again. I stop standing still. "Amalia." Lucas calls me out and I follow him.
Candice ends up wearing Stephen's tshirt and it seems like Nic had learnt a great lesson. We visit the festival it was a walkable distance. Candice whines the whole time and Stephen ends up giving her a piggy back ride until we reached here. It's beautiful and colourful. My eyes lit up "Girls no shopping first we will eat." Stephen says and Nic is unusually silent.
We had some grilled shrimps, fish tacos, lobster rolls and a few vegetable skewers. It was flavoursome. "This is so good right babes." Candice said everytime she fed Stephen. It was good definitely. Lucas is always around June. She literally has wrapped him around her finger but also she doesn't care, uhmm not at all.
Nic, Ashleigh and I are just left together, although Nic has regained his smile and is back to his normal self.
"Amalia" Lucas calls me over. "Yeah, do you need anything." I say walking towards him. "Here are some books over this stall I thought you'll like it. June told me you love books 'why don't you call Amy over to this stall' were her exact words but here you go." He explains as I look at the pretty tiny stall it really have some of the books I desperately wanted to buy, not only that it has so many other things like there are dream catchers, Hair pins, hair clips, bookmarks, earrings and neckpieces, bracelets. I smile and thank Lucas he rubs his neck and smiles back. As I go through the collection, Lucas is going through some hair pins they are so tiny that they look funny when he holds them. I hold back a smile. It's not like I'm looking at him it's just he's so difficult to be ignored, I don't know how June does it. I end up buying a few books and a lot of bookmarks and bracelets for my girls, as I was turning back to Lucas, a neck piece caught my eye. I decide to take it for Lucas as a thank you present for bringing me here to this stall may be. Actually I don't know the reason but I want him to wear that. Without a second thought I buy it. "Here" Lucas and I say together and we laugh. He puts a tiny butterfly pin on my hair. "suits you" he smiles again making my heart skip a beat. I nod "thank you and I got this for you" I give him the neck piece. It's the same colour as his eyes, as Rhys eyes the subconscious me corrects. He smiles and puts it on immediately. "For bringing you to this stop right pretty amazing one" he smiles. I love it, that he didn't make this akward. I nod and we head back towards others.
After we are done with shopping it's already 16:30. Candice insists on shopping for some more time but June practically drags her back to the car. Everyone is tired like really tired but me ofcourse I'm not. That's the reason why everyone occupies the back seats as I've to take the front one. My heart literally jumps out as Lucas occupies the driving seat. After a few minutes, Lucas asks me if I know how to drive and I don't so I shake my head and he smiles saying may be someday someone will teach me. Rest of the journey was a silent ride back to our dorms.
After they drop us we decide to take a small nap until 7, it's not that small but we need it. I set my alarm and we doze off.
Right at 6.45, my alarm wakes everyone up and we practice with the outfits on. It was awesome.
Nic brings us dinner right after the rehearsals and leaves without a word. The tension is quiet heavy between him and Candice ofcourse. We can't help but laugh it away. We dig into the food silently as we were really tired and then we get back to sleep. No reading for me no guitar and music for Ash just a beauty sleep as Candice orders as tomorrow is a really important day for us all.
