Candice Wakes everyone up right at 7:30, Reason, nothing just she's more excited than usual that's the only reason why the laziest person in my life wakes up this early.
"Gooooooooodd Morniiiinnnnnnggggggg, girls " she sings. Ahh she's a terrible single. I'm so glad that we kept the music and singing thing aside or else we should have got tomatoes and rotten eggs all over ourselves. Today is the big day. I'm a little scared for the games the game planners may have planned but I've decided that will be least of my concern till we perform. I take a deep breath and climb down from my bed.
"Mm...where's my sleepy head, who are you" June teases as soon as she opens her eyes. Ashleigh is sitting up and looking at everyone. That's a habit of hers.
"Ashleigh it's already 7:45. Wake up we have to be there at 9.30 the event starts at 10. Brush your teeth or else I swear that I'm going to drag you out of the bed." Candice warns. Ashleigh groans," Aye Aye captain." Ashleigh brushes her teeth while me and June go for a bath. Candice has already taken one so she walks towards the dresser and pulls her make up bag out. Today is the day.
After a short bath, I towel dry myself and Candice asks me to sit in my bath robe.
She pulls out a chair and starts doing my makeup and does my hair and commands, "Don't you dare to look at the mirror, go wear your out fit, June your turn now."
"Don't make me look like a clown" June whines. "Stop complaining and sit, will you." She thunders and June acts to zip her lips and sits on the chair. Candice rolls her eyes as I hide my smile. Can't help they are the amusing duo.
After June's make up is complete, she completely transforms into a much cuter version of herself. Something like curtain bangs, light pink blush. I wonder how do I look. Candice seems to read my thoughts as I was going to ask June and she warns, "you two can't ask or tell eachother how you both look and Ashleigh sit straight. A kid sits more comfortably while getting a haircut than you do." Ashleigh nods and sits straight.
Minutes later Ashleigh is done too she puts on her dress as Candice touches up her make up. After we all are completely ready, Candice pulls out her phone and checks the time. It's 9:00. "We have 10 minutes for some good clicks. " she chirps.  She turns the front camera on and says " slayyyy" and click. I look pretty for a second, I can't believe it's me. No doubt Candice knows how to do her job perfectly. I really can fall in love with myself. Not only me all of us look like our beauty graph is at its peak. "One more, I wasn't ready" Ashleigh's voices pulls me out of my thoughts. "Alright I was going to take many though" Candice laughs and counts backwards "3. 2. 1.  Slayy" she clicks again sticking her tongue out which made us laugh it is a perfect picture. Another where we all are smiling. "That's my favourite." I squeak "Candids are always the best " Ashleigh adds as we head out.
We rush to the event hall and gasp as soon as I observe my surroundings. SVU never fails to surprise me. We walk upto the back stage it's more likely a huge room where so many girls are reversing their performances and touching up their make up. "Should we practice once too" Ashleigh asks "It's okay Ash. We have practised enough. Take deep breaths if you are nervous." I calm her down she was visibly nervous. " yes Amy is right it should be a surprise for everyone." Candice adds."I am going to check at what number we should perform" June suggests and walks towards a corner. "We are the last ones" she informs us after coming back. "We'll miss others performances" Ashleigh whines. "Nope look up there. There's a screen showing us the live stage." Candice speaks pointing towards a large LED screen. We sit and glue out eyes on to that. Some girls sing, some dance, some act, some even do magic shows.
"That room G-04 is giving us a tough competition." June points. "Ya, they will probably get the second place. Comedy in drama was a good choice for them." Candice comments. "Second?" Ash raises her brows "You got someone better than 'em."." Yeah ofcourse us " she smiles. "Don't get cocky Candice but I love your confidence though let's get ready now we are next " I take a deep breath.
"Here we go presenting Lovesick girls of G14 " The MC announces and people applaud. " screw people and all the eyes, dance like we do in terrace. " June whispers as we take our positions. The curtains lifts and the song plays. I feel confident as earlier, so free. Dance helps me express it always has encouraged me to be myself. It's my passion. I look at the people they are liking us. I look at my friends they are doing it so well like their life belongs to it.
Finally we finish and the clapping doesn't stop. I find Nic filming us as well as the audience reaction. I smile and he keeps both his hands on his chest, closing his eyes and my smile grows, beside him is Lucas who smiles at us then my eyes shift to Stephen adoring Candice as she winks at him. I bet he's blushing there. They are adorable and the curtain falls.
We join other performers and the MC reappears " well well that was a hell of a performance wasn't it!?" He smiles. "So tell me students which of the groups Bewitched you the most."
"G14" the audiance roars and Candice jumps happily clapping. Our happiness has no bounds we all join into a group hug.
"And the second best !?" The MC asks again.
"G04" the students cheer.
" Lovesick girls of G14, the winners, can we have you on stage." He calls and Candice practically runs into the stage and we run behind her.
The MC puts a tiara on each of our heads as the audiance goes crazy screaming and cheering. We run down towards the boys as Candice practically jumps into Stephen's arms. "I never knew you dance so well" Stephen continues to shower complements on her as she continues to blush.
" Let me have a proper look, I always knew you are pretty but this. Damn. Who suggested this k- pop style and look at you the prettiest girl in my life. When you sat that was seductive then you stood up. Ahh I forgot how to breathe...." And he continues. We decide to give them some space.
Minutes later the MC informs his audience that it's the game time and asks the game settlers to come to the stage.
And to my surprise Candice and June climb up the stage and announce, "Hi, I'm Candice"
"Hey I'm June"
"And we are your Game Planners" they smile making me and Ash dumbstuck.
"Did you know that already" Ashleigh asks as I shake my head into a no. Lucas stands behind me and rests his arm on my shoulder "you knew " I ask and he agrees "All the oldies knew we r just waiting for the game" his eyes focused on June's.
"Can we have our desired boxes please" Candice demands and June comes up with 2 cardboard boxes one blue another pink.
"These boxes have each of the students name including ours, as you have guessed the blue is for boys and black is for girls.
June will pick out the girls at the same time I pick the boys. The pair will have to date for 4 weeks straight. " Candice announces and every body cheer and murmur among themselves.
"Here goes nothing" June pulls out and we shift our focus at her.
"Nicholas Dexter."
"And here's Ashleigh St. James"
Students gasp and cheer. I'm sure if Candice would have been standing among us now she would have teased Nic so hard. But that's not important now I look at Ash who is having a very serious eye contact with Nic. Nic's jaw is literally on the floor he is confused, way too confused.
